in 2014 i watched a smithsonian documentary on my nook color that showed how plants might be able to feel pain. they like attached electrodes to the leaves or something and measured responses idk but it plagues me to this day

9/10/2020 ~ finally updated my whiteboard for October

Not gonna lie, I had a hard week, with my first major deadlines and just feeling really insecure as I have to start making choices about my research topics and methods. Everything didn't go smoothly, but I managed to do what I had to do, and also got to commiserate with a few classmates over a glass of wine.

Sometimes I just need a reminder that I'm doing fine, since I have a tendency to feel like I'm never doing enough and then overcompensate with doing too much in ways no one asked or expected me to.

Also featuring my Dutch class face doodles and a note from a co-worker, to remind myself that things turn out better when I let people in.

1 October 2020 | Popped back to the coffee table for reading today. My university library sent me piles of books to wade through for my research on Maximus the Confessor but before I get into those I need to finish up some Old Testament readings. Happy October, everyone!
