i don't want all my characters to share the same ideals but all my video game protagonists always end up compassionate on some level or another because this is how i play every first playthrough. which wouldn't be a problem in the least if i didn't also refuse to not make different choices in following playthroughs. this isn't an actual problem. i understand i CHOOSE not to play differently. i am cognizant of the fact i am the maker of my own doom and no force is stopping me from rolling a different character. i'm willfully playing 25% of any rpg every single time. i am fiscally and video gamely stupid. do you see
