it’s time

Well everyone, it’s been real. I’ve had a marvellous time impersonating one of my heroes, but it’s time for me to call it quits. Keeping the blog running beyond April Fool’s not only defeats the joke but is, frankly, a little creepy. Everything will stay the same until this weekend, when I’ll formally archive it. If you dislike the novel and Fontbaum is canon in the novel, does that mean Fontbaum isn't canon in the celestial order of ships that are canon?

And Dr Tenenbaum is a strong female character, who certainly doesn’t need to be defined by some fifty shades of grey farce of a romance with Frank Fontaine. Whether or not there actually was something between the two of them is wholly irrelevant to the series as a whole. It matters very little in her character development whether she had a passing fling with her employer, and it’s a really stupid thing to argue about-- especially since the entire thing is based on nothing more than fanfiction. Everyone’s free to write fanfiction, I don’t care, go for it. Were Fontaine and Tenenbaum together during Bioshock? No. Could they have been before? Of course. The possibilities are infinite.”

Can we just appreciate the pure genius mind that is Ken Levine that gave us the Bioshock franchise and many other amazing games. Seriously I would give anything to have the writing skills that Ken has. I am looking forward to for Bioshock 4 and how it would effect me emotionally :’(

What I was trying to do with BioShock was to say, ‘Okay, well, [in Atlas Shrugged] that’s a utopia where Ayn Rand, who made the philosophy, made all the rules, and all the characters were under her control. What if things weren’t under everybody’s control?’ And I think that’s the problem with utopias — we bring ourselves to it, you know? We think we’re leaving our problems behind but – I don’t mean this in a cynical way – we are the problem. Like whatever social problems that occur come out of us. It’s not like they fall out of the sky. I think people think they’re going to go to a utopian society, and I think it’s not really possible.
