I return .. in turn to be turned by the love of the tide of love at the GOJ ..

each Sunday the apprehension rises .. and to some it may seem like a deliberate act of mine to gain attention , but it is factual ..

the appreciation cometh but at the appointed hour .. and has been so for all these years .. but there have been several of them at times when the reversal has played upon one .. and the ‘one’ be the one truly yours .. and all truly yours ..

it is not to be disowned .. it is the way of life .. it’s the revolve of life .. as does the Earth revolve, so does fate and time and circumstance and love and recognition .. and .. following ..

in time, all celebrity followings fail ..  it is the call of nature .. nature is the purest ingredient of the Universe .. it carries the most astonishing quality .. called  balance .. if it did not, the Universe we abide in, would have perished .. not have existed ..

look around .. you will find the essence of the failing .. remembered , yes of their standing and value .. but not of their following .. 

you need commemorations .. and special moments for remembrance .. to be drawn back in time  .. for momentary appeal and applause .. and then .. it’s back to the new , the recent , the adored popular , ruling the throne of natures revolve  .. in time .. for they too shall be in the limits of their time .. till the next ..

I am who I am .. for mine .. that be the best cavern for the resting calm .. discover it soon .. design and decorate it well .. you will be spending a lot of your time there .. at last .. unknown , un disturbed , alone  .. 

to indulge in the self .. without inhibitions or responsibilities .. un answerable to any .. but to the peace you shall create  !!

‘अगर मुझे दुनिया से किसी पुरस्कार की चाह होती तो मैं अपने को अच्छे से सजाता-बजाता और अधिक ध्यान से रंग-चुनकर दुनिया के सामने पेश करता।  मैं चाहता हूँ कि ; लोग मुझे मेरे सरल, स्वाभाविक और साधारण रूप में देख सके।  सहज और निष्प्रयास प्रस्तुति, क्योंकि मुझे अपना ही तो चित्रण करना है।’

Alright ‘lost in translation’ .. so back to the grind .. need to translate the little poetic words I designed and wrote above .. ?

ok .. ? 

‘ hand on heart , baren feet ; love everlasting , happiness unbounded  .. ahead the grandiose scene of affection and love , and the feelings reverberating all about ..’

that was the best I could do at this late hour .. but if there are some that can better it please do so .. my gratitude in advance .. 

Babuji’s words above -  it is the simplicity that Babuji talks of in his autobiography - in Hindi, mean, in concise  … 

‘If I had any desire for an award from the World , then I would have dressed myself up in the best finery and brought with immense care great colours of life about me .. but I want that people should know me as a simple straightforward common natured human, not difficult for the World to see and understand .. because after all, I have to present my own pictured painting to you all ..’

And the World moves on and each hour the clock dismisses the gone minutes and seconds so designed , into another dark hole of space .. which you may have noticed is what the visulas and discussions abound all over .. 

For me though the regularities of coming work abound , and the need and desire to be prepared for a presentation before the eyes of the audiences that shall hopefully endear me with similar love affection and care .. 

.. I think I should rest .. so

🪔 .. June 29 .. on this auspicious day of two auspicious occasions Eid Aldha and Ashadi Ekadashi  .. our greetings and birthday wishes to .. Ef Rakhi Oberoi Malik from Texas .. Ef Jani Pradeep (urf Jani Bhai) .. Ef Nabarun Ghosh .. and Ef Rima Sukhadia .. keep well and happy .. with love and prayers from your Ef Family always .. ✨

And .. to dear Ef Dr. Jayshree Sharad .. her 28th wedding anniversary on June 30 .. our greetings and love ..

 Eid  celebrated in India .. June 29 .. and .. occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi or Shayani Ekadashi .. the festival of Lord Vitthal .. from Pandharpur, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Krishna ..

tongue not in cheek .. out of it .. awkward wonky step .. but the music was such .. so the crossed footsteps ..

getting the lines right .. an embarrassment when they go wrong .. so GET IT RIGHT CRITTER .. !! 

in contemplation again and again and again ..

off to work for the day .. ad., shoot .. and six yes 6 films done within the course of the day .. work liberates .. were such words written on the gates of some of the most horrific incidents of the World  .. I visited one such .. and still dream of its horror .. 

but the most rewarding for the day was the visit to the temple for the Ashadi Ekadashi aarti at my friend’s temple in town .. there is liberation here .. in each breath in each movement .. if I write at 3:30 am now on the 30th of the June , it is because the religiosity of the moment prevails long after it is over  .. 

may there be rest and recovery for all after the festivities ..

We are in contemplation .. at all hours .. what has to be done, what has been done, what will the done be actually done .. or will the undone be done .. 

… and in the thinking of the thoughts , never there be a moment of thought at all .. most of the time .. they all look most professionally thoughtful and provoking , but they never are .. 

the irony however on such is that the onlooker thinks in the thoughts that there is some thought on by the thinker in thought .. which is such a time consuming thoughtlessness , that at times it is best to let those that think the thought, be in thought ..

well that is what I thought .. I .. 

you may think different .. good ..

gives me time for another thought ..

.. and there we are .. and there shall we be .. for the night ..

😂😂😂 .. one of greatest joys is the deployment of a dear PR agency, suggested by the wellness wishers, in order to be of immense value in the department known often as the ‘ publicity machine ‘ .. 

so I comply and ask them to deliver .. and they do ..

and they send me the details on the wire .. and what a joy it is to visit the wire .. and BE ABLE TO READ MY ENTIRE BLOG OF THE DAY ALL OVER AGAIN .. 

🤣  .. that ladies and gentlemen of the Ef dears is the PR machine of your Bolgomaestra .. sublime, informative and genuine in its contentious word  .. nah wrong word ‘contentious’ .. it is not controversial or disputable on any of that .. was pressing the ‘blacks’ for CONTENT .. and the ‘ious’ without warning followed .. 🤣

the impotency of content survives and lives long  ..

Sunday GOJ bring the children of the God’s .. but poor ones .. they have no idea why they have been subjected to this ordeal .. and in rain .. !

.. why this posture , I have no idea .. the fact that he has climbed  the lampost .. the ‘express ‘ bill board .. which does not seem to be relevant .. so what … if any of the Ef have any inputs please give .. 😳

kids stories by a kid .. he wrote this book .. a 7-8 yr old writer .. and I shall acknowledge the effort ..

errrmm .. anyone explain what this is trying to say  !!??

.. and off on a drive - a self drive around the corner .. errr .. sorry that expression would be wrong .. no I am not going to the ‘errr euphemism ?” .. going round the bend  .. damn that is wrong too .. no I am not pleading insanity .. driving around to make sure the vehicle doesn’t send a message to the phone that your battery has discharged  .. erumm , that is wrong too .. and I shall not dwell on its why’s and wherefores .. so just a Sunday drive .. 

बा��रे दी रोटी ख़ाददी , फूपड़ियों दा साग रे ; something something something something ; तो बोलण्  लाग्यो कॉग रे  ! 🎶🎶

पूरे शब्द भूल गये हैं हम , तो something डाल दिया है rhythm के लिए 

बचपन में सुना था  । बाबूजी के पास एक कवि आते थे , जो की शायद हरियाणा से थे  । उनके मुख से ये सुना करते थे , ये गीत , जो की वहाँ का लोक संगीत है  ..

… and a big difference today .. SHOES .. shoes because , shooting bare feet, whole of yesterday , gave rise to a rise in what is generally referred to bumps in the foot .. named blisters .. a similar incident earlier had incapacitated the body for long so taking precaution ..  so the temple is still the same, and next time round it shall be revered .. 🙏

.. a provision for drinking water .. with a bit of lime to quench the thirst of them that come to the gates of the J .. the GOJ .. 2 on each side .. and paper glasses to maintain hygiene .. !!

Gawd .. ! everything shut just now .. no, the cursor stopped moving .. I mean it was moving but not registering what I wanted to write or open .. 

FRUSTRATED ..

Then noticed the time ..

It was 12 mid night .. ! 

and this is my personal observation .. 

Jio mia , has a problem each night at this time for about 15 - 20 minutes .. when internet shuts .. why I have no idea .. it’s not like the machines have to go to the ‘err euphemism’ ?  …  but what is this .. ?

and sorry for the usage of the word ‘euphemism’ .. had picked it up from a play I did in Kolkata on stage for the Amateurs, our theatre group, later made into a film starring Burton and Liz Taylor .. errrrm .. shall get the name presently .. 

Haaa .. yes .. Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf .. and I played Nick , played by George Segal in the film  .. he uses this word when he ask the hosts - Burton and Liz during a conversation in their drawing room, “which way to the , err  euphemism ‘ ?  a polite genteel term asking which way to the washroom .. 

the things that remain with you .. quite quite intriguing .. knew the term , had forgotten the name of the play .. !!! 😳

So yes where were we .. aah yes the Sunday without shoes .. or rather without them .. yes yes yes .. they shall be without the next time .. 

So .. oh there we are again .. on ‘so’ .. no really .. so I need to go and study my dialogues and lines for the morrow .. for the shoot ..

to ask of you to give to accept to love my love to you ever .. that be the express of the day at the GOJ .. and the apprehensions exist .. as I do the ‘sitting’ by the self in wonder .. will they be there, will they be happy , will they cheer .. so many if and wills theys .. 

be the insecurity of the creative mind .. 

but when I walk out ..

there is nothing quite like it .. and I shall ever remain in wonder of its blessing ..

and the several mean of the interpretations get different mean to the each .. and each look at it with some disdain at times and some in incessant questioning .. how wonderful to be in such state of uncertainty .. on the part of the other .. 

it be as bad as the bike ride and the helmet .. 

किया कराया कुछ नहीं  ; अंडे फोड़े २० वहीं  !

those, Hindi challenged , be not in worry .. it be nothing .. at all ..

but it needs to be said that the times in the Saptaswar be the most inspiring even though they produce nothing of value .. someday perhaps but at the moment , nothing at all ..

many that felt the poem of Babuji wrote in to appreciate the condition of its appearance .. at the most opportune moment .. it related to many .. and the condition they were in .. 

the genius of a poet is demonstrated by the attachment his words give to the reader .. each must be the poet .. each must identify the mean of the word expressed .. many a time has Babuji expressed this in his write ups .. in the forwards of the fresh material .. in the pre and post .. such a joy to be able to read the mind as it develops creativity .. to share .. and give to the prospectus of an entrant the needed advice , path and inspired hand on the back … 

what we become and what we conduct in our path necessarily has the adventure of the elder .. it needs attention and deliverance .. for in time that is what shall be given to yours .. and his to his .. and on .. 

.. another day approaches by the morrow which shall be spent in ‘sitting’ .. sitting and thinking ..

when think takes over thought , the thought of the think be not thought  ..

the self is the victim of many .. self .. one’s psyche and the feelings of the heart of hearts .. they mind their own within the realm of the unknown .. and are yet to be known .. 

to design the thought is a thought provoking process .. for the multitude of reasons for the thought , invade the thinking , and the presence sought for the premium is ever a dichotomy .. it can be , yet be not .. 

if it be then the clarity be not  ..

which is where dichotomy takes over , in its sheer volume of strength , overpowering all and departing within the eye of the storm to ‘land’ in its destructive destroy .. 

the waters flow .. in abundance .. in rivers and rivulets .. the oceans and seas of palpitation needing something to be sent battle ahead .. and nothing barriers the eventual .. 

the think remains .. for it was thought so  …

Rush rush rush rush rush         … rushing of to bring in the promotional for the next KBC .. and the delay is because the night was long .. the promo neded a voice .. the voice of the blogomaeasrta .. and hence had spent time at Saptaswar  .. its the most delightful feel to be in the confines of that studio room .. something inspires something propels something invigorates the creative and … BOOM .. it happens .. 

But before that there was the GOJ .. and the well wishers in numbers and in excitement .. the delight of meeting them and the joy they bring to this ol’ man is beyond description ..

More later .. for now just my love ..

work schedules have been erratic and confusing .. one does not know when to stop and respond to time or just let time be and we build our own time .. 

these dichotomies of life at times get timeless and the irregularities occur ..

But the love and attention that is needed for the Ef never fades .. 

The work on the one that work is on nears completion  .. a couple of days more and it shall be the end of yet another project .. one that has been a bit taxing due to its content and graph .. the multiple different shades that it endorses for the character is complex and suitably exacting .. but we push on undeterred , the profession dictates that and the audience doe snot be privy to such .. they watch and decide .. good bad indifferent .. all .. they are the masters we work for .. and they be the ‘be all’ and ‘end all’ ..

I rush again , apologies , for the work and shall try and be back in time for the next DAY ..

Birthday - EF - Serena Krishnan .. Tuesday, 6 June … and our wishes as ever for this day of birth .. love ❤️

Science and technology have taken over the World and the dependence that we had on other factors is gradually moving further away .. how far, we are not knowing .. for at the end of the line there appears another and another and another .. unexplainable and unknown .. 

So we relentlessly pursue ..

… and find that the end of the line is as blank as an empty screen and a once occupied room ..

Be that as it may, the love of those that bring wonder and cheer and the joy of existence persist at every Sunday GOJ ..

poor kids .. they shall never know why they were subjected to this torture .. !!!

.. i felt they wait for hours in this sweltering heat , so to provide them drinking water with lime to quench their thirst .. 4 containers ,2 on either side of the gate .. over and above the ‘matka’ that is permanently there during the day and night

.. some sarcastically commented on a few occasions .. “ who goes out wearing socks and bare feet “ .. I say ..’I DO” ! .. you got a problem with that  !!?? 

“You go to the temple bare feet .. my well wishers are my temple  !!”

some happy ..

some not so happy ..

.. and some distant ..

the innovative Indian .. finding an opportunity and moving in to gather the fruits of it  .. or the ‘kulfi’ … 🤣

Comfort be the elements of use in these times of uncared for attitudes , breaking away from any tradition that could have been imposed .. 

Shoes .. 

The comfort of the ‘sneakers’ or whatever else they may be called .. the nikes, the other brands , all .. now the formal wear irrespective .. 

that black patent leather, that polished bright , whatever , has disappeared .. the white bordered comfort wear be the IT .. !

at the Roland Garros the interviewer at the end of a game does a live chat on the court with the winner .. jacket pants shirt all formal .. shoes .. sneakers .. 

LOVELY .. 

this French tournament .. French , which has epitomised trend and fashion through ages , submits itself to the latest comfort .. 

I do remember a Roland Garros tournament where at the end of a game the Management asked the great French Tennis Champion, the first black French Champion to win a Grand Slam, YANNIK NOAH to come down and make a presentation to the winner .. and he came down in jacket tie and all other formals .. but in jeans .. !! 

And the crowd and the commentators murmured in a gasp at this  .. !!! 

I was so impressed by Noah to have not cared for the formal tradition and resort to the comfort of wear .. 🤣 ..

And now the entire World is comforted by jeans and sneakers .. and the ladies with the same attire - even tights - for ease of movement at work .. 

Oh ! this is a lovely World .. !!!

COVER THY MODESTY .. WITH PRIDE .. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS ..

the astonishing belief of the Ef in continuity , in affection and love and the care they extend to me each day .. without any hesitation ..

the desire to expose the self to all is customary .. and the desire to connect does not just connect to you and me , but to the entire World .. 

the connect has taken away the time of time spent with the elders, to listen to their wisdom .. and more .. but this generation is unique in its ways and means ..

many in their connectivity come forward and express .. but whether or not it shall be listened to or expected , is a matter of deep concern .. 

so the elder must be of silent forms and those under him, the use of expression and speech .. becomes important ..

this is not a jibe or statement of the official corridors , to them that aspire to be them , rather than the other way around ..
