BTS Fanfic Jin x Reader
Summary: Jin comforts you when your pregnancy hormones get a bit overwhelming. Fluff, romance
Word count: 2.7k
It’s about 8:00 when your husband Jin arrives home from work. He comes through the door looking tired and weary. His light brown hair is tousled as if he’s run his hands through it multiple times today out of frustration. He sets his bag down by the door and lets out a sigh. He then spots you sitting on the couch and his face breaks into a wide smile. He quickly kicks off his shoes and walks over to you on the couch, his grin practically lighting up the room.
“How is my beautiful wife doing?” he says, bending down to kiss you.
“I’m fine, honey. How was your day?” you ask, smiling up at him.
“Oh boy, did I have a day,” he says, flopping down on the couch next to you. “We had to call the boss of the
tech company because there was an error with his finances. So I call him around 2:30, and it turns out he’s on vacation and I interrupted him while he was in a nightclub in Hawaii.”
“Oh no,” you say, listening intently.
“As it turns out, there’s a 19-hour difference between Busan and Hawaii, so I’m technically calling him at 7:30 at night on a Tuesday,” he says, looking tired once more from talking about work. “So he asks me if I can call him later when he’s NOT in a nightclub, but I can’t because tomorrow is the first of the month and from the way his finances look, he’s not going to be able to pay it all. So I talk to him and get it squared away after three hours, and he was frustrated because he had his date with some sexy fox cut short and I was frustrated because it took 3 whole hours, and then I had some other things I had to finish before tomorrow, but anyways—“ he looks at you and his wonderful smile returns, “None of that matters now that I’m home with you and I can finally relax.” He leans in and kisses you again, longer this time, and you almost swoon. He gives the best kisses you’ve ever had.
“So,” he says, leaning back on the couch and resting his head on your left shoulder, “How was your day, baby?”
“Oh, it was fine,” you say, “I talked to my mother, she called to ask about the baby, and you know how she can keep a conversation going for ages.”
“Mmm-hmm...” Jin mumbles contently in agreement, closing his eyes, his smile still on his face.
“So I was on the phone with her for two and a half hours,” you continue, “Then I ate lunch, a lot of lunch...”
“Hey, you’re eating for two now!” Jin says, opening his eyes and looking down at your baby bump.
You laugh. “You’re right,” you say. “After I ate, I just did some laundry and some other chores, then I ate more for dinner, and I sat down to watch TV a few minutes before you got home.”
“Honey,” Jin says, looking up at you, his head still resting on your shoulder, “you shouldn’t be doing things like laundry! You’ll overexert yourself! You’re carrying a baby, remember?”
You laugh a little. “How could I forget? This child makes me eat so much I would normally explode!”
Jin laughs.
“But don’t worry about me, Jin, really,” you say, looking down at him, “I’ll be fine. Besides, you’re at work all day, and I’ve got to make myself useful.”
“But baby—“ Jin protests, taking his head off your shoulder to look you in the eye, “you don’t have to do all those things! I don’t want you to hurt yourself! You’ll get winded or something! I don’t want you to have to go to the hospital before the baby is due unless it’s for a prenatal checkup!”
“Jin, if I don’t do it, who else will?”
Jin thinks for a second. “I will!” He says eagerly, another smile spreading across his face.
“But you have work!”
“I can do it when I get home and on weekends!” He says, looking at you adoringly. You love him so much, he’s always ready to do anything for you and he’s been especially supportive during your pregnancy. These last four months haven’t been the easiest, but they would have been a lot harder without Jin. He’s such a wonderful husband, always putting your needs first, despite his own troubles. The look in his eyes every time he sees you is one of pure love and adoration. You don’t know what you would do without him. He’s your everything.
“Jin, you’re busy enough! You have so much going on at work, doing all my chores would only make you work even harder. You would be so tired all the time.”
“I don’t care!” Jin says, a more serious look on his face. “I’ll be tired if it means making sure you don’t hurt yourself or the baby!”
You sigh. “What would I do all day then?”
“You could rest and drink lots of tea and go out for walks so you can stay healthy.” He smiles at you again. “You look cute in your exercise clothes.”
You blush a little. “Jin, I’m only four months pregnant. It’s not like I’m immobile. Don’t worry about me. I won’t overexert myself and I’ll be careful. But I won’t let you do my chores. You’ve already got enough on your plate at the office. You don’t need to have a busy day at work and then come home to a busy night ahead of you. You need to relax at home.”
“Y/N, we’re only two people. How much trouble would it be for me to just do it for you?”
“A lot more than you think.”
“But—“ he starts to protest.
“Kim Seokjin, I am perfectly capable of doing these things myself. It’s not like my water is going to break any second now. So just let me do the chores. Deal?”
He sighs, looking defeated. “Deal...” he says reluctantly.
“Now you have to seal it with a kiss to make it official,” you say, smiling at him.
His smile returns. “I’ll gladly do that,” he says before leaning down to gently kiss you again. A few seconds later, though, he pulls away.
“What’s wrong?” you ask, slightly worried.
He looks at you, seeming slightly troubled. “I know you don’t want me to do your chores, but please promise me that if you do need help with something, you’ll call me and won’t try and do it yourself. Please, baby?” He pouts his bottom lip ever so slightly. He knows what works on you.
You sigh. “Okay, I promise.”
His eyes light up. “Thank you, baby!” He pulls you towards him and gives you one last kiss. “Are you hungry? I’m going to go make some food. I haven’t eaten since lunch.”
“I think I’m okay for now,” you say, smiling at him again. “I think I’m going to bed. I’m really tired.”
“Okay honey! You should go get some rest. Tell me if you need anything.”
“I will.” You try to push yourself up off the couch a few times. You finally give up. “Could you help me?” You say to Jin.
“Sure honey,” he says, grabbing your hand and pulling you up off the couch and into his arms. He holds you tight and kisses the top of your head. “Goodnight, Y/N, baby, I love you.”
You can’t quite hug him like you used to because of your baby bump, but you still hug him as tight as you can, even if your arms can’t wrap all the way around him. “Goodnight, Jin, I love you too,” you say with a tired smile, and you bury your face in his chest. You inhale his scent; he smells clean and soft, like freshly washed linens.
He gives you one last kiss on the top of your head, and he reluctantly lets go of you, humming and walking into the kitchen.
You make your way to the bedroom, the tiredness hitting you like a ton of bricks. You can feel overwhelming sadness too. Your hormones have been crazy these past few weeks. You’re angry one minute, then you’re happy, then you’re crying, then you’re flirty; it’s complete chaos.
You walk into the bedroom, close the door, turn off the light, and make your way to the bed. You flip back the covers, get into bed, pull the comforter up to your face, and start to cry. First, it’s only a little, and then it becomes a torrential flood. You have absolutely no idea why you’re crying, but the spot of the comforter that you’ve constantly been using to dry your face is soaked. Your eyes feel sore from the tiredness and the crying combined, but you can’t stop for some reason.
Ten minutes later, you hear the bedroom door open, and Jin comes in. You immediately stop crying and pretend you’re asleep. You don’t want to make him more worried than he already is. He walks past the bed, loosening his tie, and opens the double doors to the master bathroom. Light from the bathroom floods into the dark bedroom, but only for a few seconds. Jin closes the doors most of the way, leaving only a small chink of yellow light filtering in through the crack of one door that’s ever so slightly open.
You hear running water. You assume he can’t hear you anymore, so you continue sobbing. You don’t know when you’ll stop, maybe when your eyes dry out. Is it possible to run out of tears, you wonder?
Jin, meanwhile, is brushing his teeth at the bathroom sink. He hears a noise from the bedroom. He peeks in through the small crack of the unclosed door, and in the faint light streaming in from the bathroom doors, he sees you quivering under the blankets.
“Y/N....” he says to himself, suddenly worried at what’s wrong. He spits out his toothpaste and pulls his dress shirt and slacks off, putting on a plain white T-shirt, not even bothering to put on pajama pants. It’s hot outside, anyways.
Jin tiptoes over to the bathroom doors and peeks out again. You’re still shaking. He nudges one open silently, turning off the light, and walking quietly into the bedroom.
You have your face buried in the blankets, so you didn’t notice him open the doors or turn off the lights. In fact, you don’t notice that he’s even in the bedroom until you feel the right side of the mattress move when he puts his knee on it to climb into the bed. Perfect timing, too, as you had just let out a very audible sob.
Shit.
He slides into bed next to you, pulling the covers over him. You stay silent, hoping that by some miracle he hadn’t heard you crying.
He moves behind you and presses his body against yours, putting his arms around you. You feel safe, protected.
Why does that make you want to cry even more?
He pulls you closer to him. You’re both silent for a few moments until he finally whispers to you, “Y/N, honey, is everything okay?”
You can’t hold it anymore. You burst into tears, sobbing, sniffling, and drawing staggered breaths. You turn over so you’re facing him, his face looking dejected. “Oh, baby, what happened?...” he asks, pulling you closer to him and kissing you gently. His beautiful, full lips are soft and warm, which only makes you cry harder for some reason. He pulls away after a few moments and looks into your glistening eyes, tears streaming sideways down your face.
“Y/N, tell me what’s wrong. Please.”
You bury your face in his neck, still sobbing. “J-J-Jin...” is all you manage to choke out before you start crying again. You’re crying so hard you can barely breathe, your breaths being short gasps in between sobs.
Jin puts one hand on the back of your head and strokes your back with the other. “It’s okay, baby, calm down, don’t cry...” he whispers soothingly to you. You continue to cry into his shoulder, into his soft white T-shirt. He continues to hold you, cradling you in his strong arms. You start to feel better. You love it when he holds you like this.
After a few minutes, your sobbing finally starts to lessen. You aren’t crying as hard and you can breathe somewhat normally. You lift your head out of his shoulder and you look up at his worried face.
“J-Jin...” you say, your voice half-choked with a sob, “I-I’m sorry...”
“Sorry for what, babe? You have nothing to be sorry for.”
“Y-y-yes I do...” you say, almost starting to cry again. “I’m sorry for making you w-worry about me...” you trail off.
He wraps his arms around you tighter, cupping your chin in his hand and wiping one of your tears gently with his thumb. “Baby, you don’t have to be sorry. Is it your hormones?” he asks. You nod, a small whimper escaping your lips.
“Honey,” he says, “don’t apologize. You could have just told me, and I would be there to comfort you like I am now.”
“B-but you have so much going on at work a-and you’ve already done so much for m-me...” you start to cry into his shoulder again.
“Oh, baby...” Jin says, stroking your back again, “Work doesn’t matter. You’re the only thing that matters. And I just want to make sure you’re happy and healthy.”
“I’m sorry... t-that you have to put up with this...” you say with a sob, nestling your head in his neck again.
“Baby—“ he says, moving your head up to look at him again, “Don’t say sorry for that. I’m here for you. Don’t apologize.” He kisses both of your tear-stained cheeks. “Now come here,” he says, wrapping his arms around you and holding you close. You put your face in his shoulder again. You’ve almost stopped crying. Silent tears run down your cheeks and onto Jin’s shirt. After a minute he lifts your head upon the pillow again, so your eyes are level with his. He stares at you for a second, his expression blank, the last of your tears still streaming down your face. You look into his pretty brown eyes for a moment, and then he leans forward and softly presses his lips against yours. You don’t expect it, it’s definitely a very pleasant surprise. You let out a small whimper against his lips and almost start crying again. His kisses are wonderful; why do you almost feel like crying again?
He reluctantly draws his lips away from yours so your faces are an inch apart. He gives you a small, tired smile.
“Ah, babe, are my kisses that bad?”
You laugh a little bit and shake your head, wiping your eyes with the heel of your hand. “No,” you say, “they’re amazing. Too good, even. I feel like I can’t do as good as you.”
He laughs quietly and moves forward to kiss you again.
“You do perfectly, baby...” he whispers against your lips. You never want to stop kissing him. His plump lips are always so warm and inviting; you could kiss him all day, and you’re sure he can say the same about you.
“Jin...” you mumble against his kiss.
“Hmmm?” He doesn’t want to be away from you. Your lips are less than half an inch apart.
“I’m sorry for getting your shirt all wet...”
He looks down at his right shoulder. Sure enough, there’s a fairly large wet spot on his T-shirt. He smiles a little and then moves his gaze back to you.
“Don’t apologize, honey. I don’t mind.”
“But aren’t you—“
He puts a finger to your lips.
“Shhhh... I don’t mind, baby...” He kisses you again, his lips lingering on yours for a while. Your eyes start to close even though you don’t want them to. You want to stay awake to be with Jin, you want to remain conscious while you’re in his arms and kissing him. He can tell you’re tired. “Y/N...” he mutters, his lips barely moving against yours, “You need rest... go to sleep...” His eyes start to close as well. You’re both exhausted. Jin lazily opens his eyes halfway to look at you. “Goodnight, Y/N, baby, I love you...”
“Goodnight Jin, I love you so much...”
And that’s how you both fall asleep, your lips still together, arms wrapped around each other.
So that was my first fanfic! I hope you like it and I hope it’s not complete trash haha! Thank you for reading and have a lovely day! <3
