art can be about taboo subjects. art can deal with something socially unacceptable. art can disturb and disgust. art doesn’t have to be for everybody.

tag your warnings so that people who might be triggered by your art don’t accidentally get exposed to it and you’re all good.

and if people try to shame you for the art you create because it’s “problematic” then you can tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. they read the warnings. they choose to read and engage with your art on their own free will. that’s not your problem.

dark fics and macabre art do not—have never, and never will—reflect artists’ in-real-life moralities.

harassing artists, real people, over fictional things will never make you “morally superior”. it only makes you a bully.

again, censorship has no place in art.

Another 430 words written today in Guardians of Sanctuary. I would have finished the chapter, but I put on some fake nails because I won't stop biting due to stress, and they're so difficult to type with. Think I need to trim them just a teeny bit to work better. Worst of all, some of them aren't sticking very well, so I think I may have just gotten poorly designed ones. Either way, too annoyed to continue writing tonight.

Well. Although I did not finish the chapter of Guardians of Sanctuary today, I did manage to write 670 words. It should only take that many more to wrap it up. So, if I can defeat my executive dysfunction and waiting mode issues tomorrow, I'll have it finished and can finally move on! ^.^

I mean there are plenty of reasons to keep your cats indoors.

For one thing, they're nearly guaranteed to live longer. No longer at risk of outside diseases. They're not a threat to wildlife, and wildlife (and many other things) are not a threat to them. She won't get lost. You won't have to worry about adding to the population of kittens, which often grow up in the wild and make more issues. Not to mention shelter kittens tend to be chosen over perfectly adoptable adult cats who have been there longer. And this one is kinda selfish, but she's your cat, right? Do you want her to become someone else's cat?

"He only catches a few birds now and then!" Unless he is a phenomenally bad hunter I can pretty much guarantee he doesn't. If you've seen him kill animals, he is not a phenomenally bad hunter.

"He needs space to roam!" Cats make good apartment pets, even the active ones. You can always leash train him or make him a cat tree or a little cat jungle to play in.

"She's spayed!" That's great! Many cats aren't. Also doesn't make her immune to things that can hurt her.

"It's cruel to confine them indoors!" Might be a bad example since my last cat was a cuddle bug who existed to be loved, but I assure you, your domesticated pet is going to be fine.

"What if they're mousers?" Well, I kinda see the logic in this one but you can't teach a cat to only hunt vermin. They can still get diseases, including diseases that can affect farm animals. And tbh it's dangerous to let a cat fight a rat.

[Writing - Fanfiction Diablo 3 Guardians of Sanctuary]

1,320 words written in my Diablo 3 fanfic, Guardians of Sanctuary on the 9th. And another 247 tonight. The chapter is almost done. It should take about another 500 words or so. It's at 3800 or so right now. Looking forward to finally being done with it. ^.^

I'm really proud of how I've been working the Seasonal Journey into the story in ways that make the game seem like normal everyday life. Like a Leaderboard outside of the Slaughtered Calf Inn that magically updates for all the Classes and Sets as a new record comes out. Or that you have to fall asleep at Orek's Obelisk to be transported to the Challenge Rift "Realm" to take on Edira's test. How everyone trades all their power for one Wish after achieving Guardian Rank, and that's why they have to learn everything all over again every Season.

My main/original character, Wildfyre, questions all these things and finds them abnormal. Like, why does everyone seem to have help from one of the Disciples, but none of the Disciples know anything about any of the missions except for the ones that they go on with her? And I make it seem like she's crazy for even questioning "the way of the world".

Heading to bed now, though. Hopefully, I can wrap up the chapter tomorrow so I can work on my newest short story.

Gahh! Of course, the day after I decided to stop playing Genshin, Hoyo dropped this insane lore trailer, confirming several fan theories! Ahh! It soooo makes me want to start playing again. Though this time, just focusing on main story progression so I'm all caught up because this lore drop was ahhhh!

Plus...I still really want to save for Dainsleif and explore Snezhnaya and Nod-Krai. I don't think I've even reached the point in the main story where I learn about Nod-Krai. And to see what the Tsaritza's true intentions regarding the Heavenly Principles are.

[Writing - Fanfiction Diablo 3]

Updated my spreadsheet for my Diablo 3 fanfiction so I have a better idea of what's coming when, approximately how many chapters I'm going to need, and the countdown of days til the end of the Season (Journey). That way, I don't end before or go over by 1-2 days. This also let me know where to add filler/fluff chapters. Chatpers may still get rearranged, but at least I have a much better idea of what's going on.

Although I still need to select a set of five Bounties from each region. That will be another page of information to collect before I proceed to the next chapter. Thankfully, once this latest chapter is finished and posted, I'll be working on my new short story idea for a while, so I have time to get that prepared.

This season allowed me to get the names of all the Boss Achievements. However, I'm still missing the name of the achievement for "Master a Set Dungeon" because that task was removed several seasons ago, instead replaced by the "Complete and Echoing Nightmare" task. So if anyone knows that achievement name, let me know!

sighs Little over two days left, and I'm sadly going to have to give up on Skirk. I'd lost the 50-50 to Qiqi at about 70 Pity, and I'm currently at about 60 with real-life priorities I've been slacking on in my desperation to get Skirk.

Dad has a point. What even is the point of working my butt off for characters here? I love the characters, design, and storyline. But I don't ever play unless it's grinding for a character I really want. So why play a game I don't like for a character I won't use until I want a new character?

Besides, I can always write fanfics self-shipping myself with characters I love (Dainslief and Skirk), being besties (with Kirara and Keqing), etc. I can still experience the world even if I never play the game again.

It hurts to say goodbye to the game, but it's for the best, especially since it gives me time to focus on more important stuff.

I don't know why I'm surprised I unlocked a completely new area in Inazuma (Tsurumi Island). I mean. That part of the map was clearly an undiscovered area based on all the empty spots in Liyue.

Currently trying to explore as much as I can, as it would mean a lot of Primogems for Skirk (who I still haven't gotten yet D: ). This also means I should continue my exploration of Chenyu Vale once I'm done with this island, as there should be plenty to do there as well.
