Lately I've been wondering if anyone in fandom spaces is truly happy. Everyone seems miserable but there's no collective will to change things for the better and I wonder how much of this is the sunk cost fallacy in action or how much of it is just that the worst people in the world discovered fandom and they managed to infect it with misery that, for whatever reason, can't be fixed or removed. I'd like to think there's hope that things can improve but to be honest I'm not feeling very optimistic lately.

some of yall r practicing some really unhealthy habits n coping mechanisms and its very scary to see. when ppl come into ur dms saying “u should stop” or calling you a freak they mean well and they mean it for ur own good. putting urself back into traumatic scenarios via roleplay or etc. is literally dangerous. you never truly recover. you only put urself back into that unhealthy state of mind because you crave the painful stimuli. cgl and noncon fics will not help you. its not a good coping mechanism. i hope all of you heal
