today i realized i talk about glinda the way powerscaling bros talk about their favorite anime dudes. i told someone that actually in the source material she's the most powerful witch in oz and the adaptations nerfed her

it kills me how desperate glinda is for elphie's approval she so badly wants elphie to think she's cool and good like gurl get up

remember when glinda forgot everything that happened in her life before coming to shiz and meeting elphaba and forgot meeting the president cuz she was focused on earlier in the week when she got to spoon elphaba

I woke up with this idea on my mind for quite literally no reason and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. I’m just wondering at the possibility of a Gelphie child having razor sharp canines and their mothers not knowing how to handle it at first. For example:

In the book Elphaba is actually born with sharp teeth (one of the reasons the midwives wanted to throw her in a nearby fire) and she can’t directly nurse from Melena because of them. The Gelphie child (honestly I headcanon their first child as being a daughter despite Liir existing in bookverse) has a bit of a similar yet different experience.

She’s born with beautiful green skin and green eyes, although her eyes slowly turn brown over time. She already has thick golden hair and it only grows thicker and longer over time. They named her Primrose, Glinda’s request; they decided if they had a girl her name would be Primrose and if they had a boy they would choose Elphaba’s name, Liir (little did they know he would come along next).

Glinda is incredibly confused when Primrose starts to nurse and it hurts like hell. She knew it was normal for new mothers to feel some slight discomfort at first with such a new sensation, but this actively hurt.

They were worried something was wrong until Primrose yawned for the first time and Elphaba noticed the sharp little canines at the back of her mouth.

Elphaba starts to cry because this was a way her daughter would have to suffer like she did, despite being days old. It doesn’t help that Glinda is crying too, that just makes Elphaba feel worse.

But Glinda assures Elphie that these are happy tears; she’s so incredibly happy that their daughter has another beautiful trait belonging to her beautiful wife (Glinda loves Elphaba’s teeth for many, many reasons).

This makes Elphaba feel slightly better, but it doesn’t change the fact that the teething stage is a nightmare to behold; no stuffed animal, pacifier, or human finger was spared. Not to mention they have no idea what kind of magic she’ll possess.

Glinda is still a staunch believer that she doesn’t have magic at all, but Elphaba knows this isn’t true. Her magic might not be as powerful, but Elphaba knows it’s there. Therefore it stands to reason their daughter might have some as well (a little overwhelming to say the least).

i have like a deep primal need to undoom gelphie and imagine them happy and together but also i despise the idea of fundamentally altering wicked's ending because wicked is a tragedy and it needs to maintain that structure im sorry

Something I don't get

It is mainly Glinda haters but never get when people say Glinda deserves the ending for her actions in act 2 and deserves not to have Elphie or anyone else for not being good. I aint claiming she was a saint but no-one else was either and their endings were a lot less harsh than trauma for the rest of their lives, maybe it's just because I am a massive Glinda lover (especially movie Glinda, that girl aint bad no matter what you say) but just seems overly harsh her ending being a lifetime of trauma and unhappiness for her actions when no-one else's actions were even good either.
