Sorry man I'm hugely obsessed with your au, is it based on anything prior? Or is it original? Is it like how Eva pilots in neon genesis evangelion have a more intimate connection with their riders?

OH GOD AlSO does a July incident happen? Like I saw notes for a 'distress' mode. Was this the mode that in this hypothetical situation caused a whole city to go boom?!?

Does Wolfwood become one with the plane later in the story?! DOES VASH RIDE THAT Plane??? And talks to absorb Wolfwood ai?!??

Again sorry for so many questions I'm so so intrigued. Oh also you said you had a plane blog?!?

realizes 90% of this au is on my note channel and WRITTEN AS FIC in my drafts (helP. i think a lot and it means explaining becomes hard i. try!!!!!) long post so put a lot behind cut.. -> I based it on ace combat, however i have taken the scifi from the series and thrown stampede lore in it meaning it became- more scifi simply. it starts normal and gets progressively more weird. also the way the AI can consume the pilot/their mind is visually inspired by fafner!

-> the coffin cockpits in the au EOM planes without glass canopy- are from ace combat electrosphere, i threw extra AI horrors in it to make it more mecha vibe- the plant AI acting as pilot's eyes is of alien origin that thrives in a specific sort of Juice, that is capable of connecting human and machine (but normal human needs a drug [=angels, ALTITUDE JOKE] to handle it). -> Plants have no visible form otherwise except IF a human is connected to a plant plane they might see the plant, as the AI has direct nerve/brain connection to the pilot. mhmhm eye of michael pilots seeing angels. -> so the absorbing process is, bad- the pilot ceases to be, and the plant will become the plane's pilot. uh unfortunately the plants mean no harm by doing that, it's a defense mechanism to avoid annihilation and it has no idea consuming a human as "data" isn't saving them, but killing them... so no- if wolfwood's plane consumes him he's gone... with only ghost of his memory/skill remaining with the plant. -> feel like i need to explain that... vash and knives were literally born/grown in the alien juice as advanced form of testing and it resulted to them being?? partially plants in human form. they need no plant AI in their planes to use the full potential of the system. they became first and last successful experiment- as knives exploded the whole lab & they escaped with their planes. SO WHILE VASH CAN TAKE OVER/FLY WOLFWOOD'S EOM PLANE BECAUSE HE CAN CONNECT WITH ANY AI... let's hope he only has to do it to save wolfwood from being consumed... there's a reason knives calls plants their sisters in this AU too, and there was a failed experiment... that haunts all currently existing plant planes... -> so from that to THE DISTRESS MODE OH MM. yeah. since the twins are special and can connect with plants, they can also connect with each other... so that's clearly how knives caused some form of july in the AU. and he's the reason vash at all cost avoids trying to use his "full potential".
