Hate when I respond to a nest request and say my nest is indeed free and instead of sending me the pair, the next ping I get is hey, is that nest still free? Newsflash, it's been less than a day since I pinged you, yes my nest is still free. But now, since you haven't been online since I responded for a second time, I have a nest going empty when I have five more requests to fill. This happens a lot. Please just send your fucking pairs over if the host says yes & it hasn't been days since then.

I've been having a lot of trouble finding time to play lately so my dragons are hungry a lot. I lost my well fed bonus but somehow still got 15 gathering turns today... I'm in Arcane so I don't have any dom bonuses. Definitely not mad about it, but I do feel like I've been blessed by RNGsus

There’s a lot of hullabaloo about how more frequent updates is the Only Reason there’s ’so many’ gene errors and whatever. But like. There are… what? 177 colors on the color wheel? Each breed has three poses? That’s 531 images. Some of the problems are technical issues, issues that come up during rendering with the site’s image generator, some of those are human errors, but again, staff is only human. People make mistakes, things get missed by a small team that is picked up by the thousands of users on the site. Things happen. But I’m just glad that errors are actually being investigated and fixed, and many of them on day of release! On runes for tundra females, the bit of horn under the ears went Years without being fixed. Gene and color combos that turn up with entirely broken images, do you people not remember how people were selling stitch/patch buttercup snapper hatchlings because they were broken?

There have always been gene errors. They just went years without being fixed or noticed. Things are so much better than they used to be* and I’m so glad staff has been so much more transparent about this shit in recent years.

*I’m not saying staff are perfect. I’m not saying anyone is perfect. But goddamnit I’ve been on this site for so long, and I’ve noticed things getting better.

Funny story- When Dusthides were first released, I literally had a friend Pay Me to take the dusthide hatchlings they'd gotten off of their hands. Had another friend offer to give me their Dusthides bc of the design as well yesterday.

ive decided i dont like dusthides. the genes are cool but literally my first thought when i saw them was "why is the earth ancient have 4 legs and 2 wings"

its just so boring?? like clearly theyre no longer doing ancients Just to have more unique silhouettes with dragons that cant wear apparel. they just dont want to draw apparel for all the breeds theyre pumping out. and now it feels like the "pokemon-ification" of FR. aka getting content out as fast as they can, regardless of actual quality
