I feel like it's so easy in the plush community to always get caught up in looking for the 'next one' to add to the collection, I know I sometimes get stuck in this, so here's your (and my) reminder to value and cherish the plush you have, make fond memories with them, and love them! Always focus on the present and what you have rather than what you "could" have, plush are the best!

aww thank you!! i usually get most of my plushies from ebay or thrifting and most of them a second hand i get expensive ones usually only at christmas or my birthday i also travel a lot and get them from all sorts of countrys i usually don't mind what condition i get them keep in mind i've been collecting for 15 years so if you ever wanna know what brand a plushie is in my collection or what species i will usually have a answer (;

Why the hell are Webkinz Signature plushes so expensive???

Genuinely someone please tell me why these plushes go for an upwards price range of $200? They’re mass manufactured plushes that are not “rare” in any real limited quantities. Most of the time they don’t even have a tag/code so they aren’t really considered new in the secondhand market. There’s not a massive amount of collectors for them to have the prices so high due to high demand either. I know they were priced like $10 more than the og Webkinz when they were sold but this much of a markup is insane.

I also collect dolls and they have a similar scale in terms of manufacturing, and degrees of newness but they are not priced this high for a used or particularly hard to find doll. But from my knowledge there is a larger doll collector community than there is for the plush/stuffed animal collectors and specifically for Webkinz. I collect mostly barbie and monster high dolls for reference and those are typically 15-20 dollar range for a standard doll from a specific line.

I just wanted an African wild dog as I love those animals and to my surprise the cheapest ones I can find are $50 😭 Personally the most I’ll ever pay for a used stuffed animal is $20 but I can see $30 being reasonable for a signature plush as a standard price.

Someone please tell me why people are pricing them so high please for my sanity lol
