Seeing the amount of people that hate Marinette hurtsssss.

Like I just stumbled across a YouTube channel in which the creator of the videos and everyone in the comments hates Marinette.

They were all talking about how she’s an awful person and how Adrien being treated badly is her fault like what?? And also that Adrien deserves better than her. 

There were tons of complaints that Marinette’s a Mary Sue, but the definition of the word seems to be misconstrued, so lemme pull up some evidence.

According to the definition on Wikipedia, “A Mary Sue is a generic name for any fictional character (usually female) who is so competent or perfect that this appears unrealistic for the world’s settings, even in the context of the fictional setting…They may also be praised by every other character in the work…The principal criticism of the Mary Sue character as a literary device is that it undermines the drama and conflict of the narrative by presenting the protagonist as omnipotent and universally accepted….A Mary Sue has no internal flaw to confront, has no arc and therefore there can be no drama.“

A Mary Sue isn’t just someone who’s good at things. It’s someone who’s depicted to be perfect by the characters and can do no wrong according to the plot. It doesn’t mean that they can’t mess up; it’s just that whenever they do it turns out that whatever they did wrong was actually the “right” thing all along.

Going by this definition, Marinette is the exact opposite of a Mary Sue. Why? Because the plot and the characters love to punish her even when it comes to things like literally being harassed and her right to say no.

At this point, Marinette’s not even a character. She’s just a plot device so that Adrien can be perfect. Because you know what he is? A Mary Sue. Astruc once tweeted that “Adrien is perfect…To sum it up: he’ s not flawed. The world is.”

Adrien is the prime example of a Mary Sue yet people still think Marinette is one?? Everything about her at this point is a plot device. For example, I saw someone say that Marinette is manipulative because of what transpired in Weredad. People also love to bring up the fact that Marinette hates liars but she lies all the time, and how she causes so many akumas. Except she only ever does these things when it’s convenient. It’s almost laughable at this point.

Her supposed flaws aren’t the only things that are plot devices—all the good traits she has are as well. For example, her love of fashion is only ever mentioned when there’s need for a fashion-related akuma, and every time she gives a gift it always results in someone being akumatized. She never actually gets to give someone something out of the good of her heart without it causing some world-ending event.

TL;DR: Marinette is a precious cinnamon roll. She does have flaws, but she’s definitely not a Mary Sue, and people love to hate on her for no reason <3

In this AU Marinette and Adrien gets the mentor and friend they deserves.

Original Characters to note:

Marie Wang Lenoir ( Age 31-32): A Chinese-British women, who was adopted by Marianne. She have green eyes and jet black hair. She's a little bit shorter than Nathalie Sancoeur. A new teacher/counselor at Francois Dupont, sent by the Board to monitor the Akuma Class and suspicious teaching/management style at Dupont. She's compatible with Duusu ( Peacock Miraculous).

Seika Lenoir (Age 14-16): She's a Japanese-British orphan, adopted by Marianne when Marie was 19 years old. She's the petite version of Marie. Transfer student at Dupont, she transfered late due to her late release from the hospital because of her illness. She likes to cook, and is a regular of the Dupain-Cheng bakery's delivery service. She was trained to be the black cat wielder before she got diagnosed with heart disease.

Background:

- Wang Fu and Marianne reunites sometime in 2008. They lived in separate houses to avoid any accident due to Fu's guardian status.

- Both of Marianne's foster children were introduced to the concept of miraculous and guardianship. Marie was supposed to be Ladybug, but she was not compatible with Tikki's power. So instead, she was trained to be the next guardian while Seika was trained to be the next Black Cat.

- In June 2014, Seika was diagnosed with CDV. Fu was forced to find another Chat Noir.

- Backwarder did not happen in this AU.

- No change in the Origins Story.

- Seika transferred a week after The Origins Story.

- Became friends with Marinette because of her being a regular in DC bakery.

- Neutralizes the chaotic energy in both Alya and Marinette. Advises Marinette on her crush while preventing the chaotic duo's wild ideas. Helps Marinette to not stutter / have anxiety attack around Adrien, tries to get Alya to film for her blog in a safe distance. It works... somewhat.

- Because of Seika's presence, the whole chaotic Adrienette scenes did not happen (she keeps on stopping those ideas/ Marinette spiraling). So no, no phone stealing, no stalking(or schedule hogging) happens (in Seika's knowledge at least).

- Told Marinette that being in love and being obsessed is different, and that Alya should stop treating everything like a scoop lest she'll become a tabloid writer. They fought but it smoothed out pretty fast.

- Chloe tried to bully the trio. Keyword: tried.

- The trio is very protective of each other.

- Seika knew who Ladybug and Chat Noir from the beginning from Fu, so she secretively provide alibis for her whenever Marinette needs to transform. Mari met Fu earlier because of this.

- The Trio enrolled for martial arts, Seika joined Fencing and Krav Maga, Marinette joined Karate, Krav Maga and Kung Fu, while Alya joined Muay Thai.

- Seika and Adrien talks a lot about Fencing and Piano.

- Marinette talks more with Adrien due to her friend's support. They're study and gaming buddies.

- Adrienette became much closer from the beginning. Marinette likes to gift him pastries every morning, while Adrien likes to give Marinette random gifts or Gabriel's sketch whenever he could.

- Adrien and Marinette likes the other's hero identity and each other unknowingly. The love square is still full of denial.

- Marinette gave a scarf and a leather bracelet for Adrien's birthday.

- Most akumatization happens anyways in this AU, except for Lady Wifi.

- When Lila appeared, she almost stole Adrien's grimoire only to be caught red handed by Seika. Lila ran away after threatening Seika into silence (not that it worked). Seika told the chaotic duo about Lila's supposed threat and plan to sway Adrien, so Marinette send Adrien a message to warn him while Seika stalks both of them to secure the grimoire. Adrien, warned by Mari told Lila to knock it off (kindly ofc). Lila still got akumatized into Volpina without LB's interference.

- Marinette, Fu and Seika made a convincing copy of the grimoire to fool Gabriel into letting Adrien return to class.

- The Collector still happened, but Seika and Fu are still convinced that Gabriel is Hawk Moth. They keep it a secret from LB and CN.

- Somehow during the Collector, Duusu manages to escape (as they were kept half dormant by Hawkmoth) and found Marie. Marie, who's training to be a guardian, is now in the loop. Fu started his final training for Marie.

- After Dark Owl, Marie was notified by the Board to be deployed to Dupont as a counselor and teacher assistant to find out the truth behind the high number of Akumatization in Dupont.

- Marie became the Akuma Class' homeroom teacher along with Bustier. Marie criticizes Bustier's way of handling bully and her habit to put all responsibility to Marinette, while stopping Chloe from ruining Marinette's gift for Bustier. Bustier got Akumatized for Chloe.

- Syren is Rena Rouge's debut. Mari didn't choose Seika because of her CDV, afraid that it will agitate Seika's condition. Adrien threw a tantrum like canon.

- Fu decided to order Plagg to leave Adrien for a while, Seika reunited with Plagg for a while.

- Adrien, aghasted that Plagg left him and saw Phantom Noire in his place. He was notably upset during Captain Hardrock and Frightningale.

- Phantom Noire is much more direct, discrete and merciless than Chat Noir. LB and PN works well together, Fu and Marie wondered if they should just give Adrien another miraculous, but PN reminded them of her condition, and that Adrien's soul is compatible with Marinette's.

- Due to years of training and Seika's natural compatibility with Plagg, she's able to turn the staff into a sniping gun and a hand gun. Plagg dulls the tremor and absorb any damage to PN to minimize any aftershocks/effects that will affect Seika's heart condition.

- Before Queen's Battle, Phantom Noire met up with Adrien. Adrien was upset with the fact that PN is his replacement and that PN is a good black cat holder. PN scoffed, and told him it was the other way around. PN is the original Black Cat, but due to an unexpected condition, she couldn't.

PN: "I might supposed to be Plagg's holder at first, but that doesn't mean that you're not destined to be Chat Noir. You're the only one who can be Chat Noir, and as your senior, I am going train you to be the best Black Cat the world have ever seen.

The reason why you're benched for a while is to train you. I'm not your competitor, I'm your mentor. Now your first task is to find out what you did that is not befitting of Chat Noir."

- During Queen's Battle, Chat is still benched. Queen Wasp didn't happen because PN and LB defeated Style Queen without needing the Bee Miraculous.

- Adrien is benched with Bee Miraculous until Chameleon. His alias is Alpha Bee.

- During Heroes' Day, Marie finally transformed into Blue Empress. They fought Hawkmoth with the assistance of Blue Empress with Rena Rouge and Carapace, although the later duo got akumatized. Hawkmoth demanded Blue Empress to return the Peacock Miraculous to him, though he manages to run away when more Sentimonsters attacked him. Catalyst tried to help but only able to get him out.

- The Heroes are aware of Volpina's involvement and Seika and Alya decided to collect evidences that she's working with Hawkmoth voluntarily as Lila have been telling them she's not even in France during the whole month.

- BE, Fu and PN met up with Marinette and Marie started to train her to be a better LB.

- In the beginning of March, CN finally gets back his miraculous and gave Pollen back to the guardian. CN and LB now were aware that BE will be the new guardian. PN dropped her transformation, and let the two know who she is.

- During Chameleon, Lila still have a grudge against Adrien for not falling for her lies. She also were jealous of Marinette and Seika who's really close to Adrien. She started her tactics to use the class with fake disabilities only to have Seika telling her to go to the nurse rather than whining about it. She tried to get Marinette move from her seat, only for her to gladly do so (as she can seat with Seika who volunteered to move with her to the back, much to Adrien and Alya's displeasure). But Seika told the class that Titinus doesn't work that way, where is her hearing aid, why is the school unaware of her needing any support? In the end, Marie didn't even let her seat anywhere near Adrien, much to Lila's displeasure. Bustier tried to support Lila, only to withered when she saw Marie's glare.

- It was not a good day or week for Lila. All her effort on buttering up and getting closer to Adrien fall short. Marie and the trio tried to kill her with kindness, no one is willing to bring her books, treat her lunch or do her homework. Needless to say, Lila's pissed.

- Seika taught Adrien to spine up... and high road doesn't exist when your mentor is silent storm incarnate. Adrien have learnt his lesson.

- Lila tried to butter up and threaten Marinette in the bathroom, caught by Alya and Seika who followed them in. Then she got Akumatized. She got defeated by LB and CN pretty fast.

- The liar then tried to ruin Adrien and the trio's reputation. Didn't work too well, so she tried to get Marinette expelled.

- Adrien, Plagg and Seika are all too happy to be a part of Marinette's Protection Club, and foiled all Lila's plan by collecting evidences and not letting Marinette's guard down.

- Lila got suspended for bullying from a report by an anonymous tip. We all know who did it.

- Lila butters up with Old Agreste and become Adrien's nightmare.

- Luka and Kagami's role is similar, but more subdued. Adrienette duo's is both obvious and oblivious to each other. Silencer happened and Weredad... kind of happen?

- Weredad were caused by Tom finding CN in Marinette's room late at night. Cue protective father instinct.

- Adrien already realizes his crush on Marinette, while Marinette started to realize her crush on Chat.

- Kagami and Seika's pretty close, because of their background and fencing. Kagami doesn't have a crush on Adrien... she have a crush on Seika.

- Lila pushed Seika and Adrien on the floor into a compromising position and took a picture of them for blackmail . The black cats were not amused.

- Lila send the picture to all Adrien's contact. Kagami got Akumatized as Oni Chan and is targetting Adrien. Seika then warn Kagami about Lila after she was purified.

- All holders and temporary holders know that LB's best friend is CN amd PN. So Lila's lie doesn't really have any effect.

- Gabriel is way to amused and happy to find a willing active victim in Lila so they form an alliance. One that Hawkmoth is willing to throw anytime.

- Oblivio happened, and the love square is stronger than ever. All the other casts were tired of the idiot couple.

- Lila somehow double the rate of akumatization in the class, causing another incident with Reflektor and Princess Fragrance, and others.

- Luka was directly given the snake miraculous by Seika... discreetly, after Adrien's mental breakdown for failing 24,913 times. She would've wield it if not because her health is deteriorating. Marie's concerned.

- In Kwamibuster, Marie and Seika watches everything in exasperation and confusion. What kind of chaotic mind does Marinette have and why the banana suit? Multimouse didn't get exposed because BE quickly make a distraction with her sentimonster.

- Marie, Fu and Seika wondered if LB and CN should know each other's identity soon.

- Hawkmoth found Fu's old sentimonster before Marie and Seika did. Fu's location got compromised, Marie send him off with Marianne to the country side and Fu relinquished guardianship to Marie as soon as Order of Guardians is restored.

- Marie decided to get CN and LB to be in the loop about who Hawkmoth might be. Seika make sure CN's okay after the reveal of Hawkmoth

- Felix happened, and he thought Seika is Adrien's girlfriend. Cue angry Akumatized Kagami again.

- Lila trapped Marinette in a cleaning closet after Marinette tells her to change her ways. Tikki got separated from Marinette, while Lila became an akuma who tried to torture Marinette to be her "friend". Tikki went to Seika for help. Phantom Rouge and Chat Noir defeated Lila.

- Chat Blanc happened because Gabriel is a bitch. Seika was hospitalized due to sudden attack. The catalyst is Volpina's illusion of Marinette's death that makes Adrien dropped his transformation in shock. Gabriel tried to get him on his side to resurrect and heal his friends. LB and BE manages to deakumatize him by employing Viperion, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Bunnyix, a mourning Ryuko, and surprise, a recently changing Queen Bee. LB needed to drop her transformation and let BE make a sentimonster based of her so that Chat could realized that she's okay.

- As Gabriel knowing Adrien is Chat Noir dangerous for Adrien, BE tries to convince all holders to stop Gabriel now. Chat who realized how crazy Gabriel is finally agreed.

- Battle of the miraculous, only it didn't involve the Bourgeois, but another Catalyst. The catalyst defeated Rena Rouge and Carapace, allowing miraculous Volpina and Purple Shell to aid Hawkmoth. They manages to defeat Hawkmoth and get back the butterfly miraculous and the other two.

- Gabriel and Lila tried to attack afterwards, and were apprehended by the police. Nathalie surrendered willingly.

- The miraculous team found Emily.

- To fix the damage by peacock miraculous, needs the power (living essence) from a butterfly soul. But Gabriel's damages the miraculouses so much that it's not possible to do it anymore.

-A miraculous can only be fixed by a compatible soul, called the soul treatment.

- Seika just happen to be one. The soul treatment have a steep price for the sick holder.

- Emilie lives. Gabriel and Lila lost everything. The Miraculous team mourns for their friend.

"MaRiNeTtE oNlY lOvEs AdRieN fOr hIs LoOkS"

Despite being an aspiring designer and fan of Gabriel Agreste, before meeting Adrien, Marinette only noticed the clothes Adrien modelled, and never him. That's why she didn't recognize him in Origins

She thought he was a brat just like Chloe who tried to prank her

She only started to warm up to him when he reached out to her, was kind to her, and admitted his insecurities

It's understandable that no one really knows Adrien's birthday (except for Marinette, Alya, Chloe and Nino) because Bubbler is a really short time after Origins. Other than Nino, Marinette was the only one who tried to make an effort to give him something for his birthday.

She was more than happy to let Gabriel take credit for the scarf she knitted for Adrien - if she really was superficial, like people say, she would have had a problem with letting go of the attention it would have gotten her from him. No, Marinette just wanted him to be happy.

Marinette obviously would have loved to model with Adrien, but several times in Stormy Weather, her main concern was Manon. She didn't actually leave until Alya thoroughly convinced her that she had things handled.

She was fine with letting Manon model with Adrien.

She didn't lose her cool in front of Adrien, his father, her bully, and several of her peers when it came to proving her innocence about her hat.

"Why would Adrien steal a bracelet?" Biased? Yes, but Marinette quickly realised her mistake later in the episode. Point still stands though, she has a very high opinion about Adrien, and she's right in her judgement.

Marinette only used his phone to delete a voicemail that could have embarrassed her, she didn't snoop when she so easily could have.

She has his schedule, you say? Marinette has a copy of the schedules of all her classmates, which is normal, considering she is class rep, and also is a very social person and is constantly seen in gatherings with her friends.

Marinette didn't want to kiss Adrien for the first time as a part of a class project.

Literally the entire episode Kung Food. Marinette has no problems talking to Adrien and getting along with him as a friend, as long as she doesn't get worked up over confessing how she feels.

And Gamer as well!! She cares about him as a person, why else would she want to reassure him that he's not as useless as he thinks he is, and she gave him something of hers that she treasured. She gave it away freely.

"Adrien is a fan of Jagged Stone, just like me!" She's happy that she shares something in common with him. That's not a crime.

Her first priority in the Christmas Special, Simon Says, Gorizilla and Riposte is to make sure he's okay, not try to impress him. That's a weakness ADRIEN had to overcome!! She listens to him talk about his mother, even when she is suited up as Ladybug.

"I don't like lies, especially when they're about me" She has no qualms about standing up for herself in front of him.

She returned his book to his father, all while spinning a fake story about herself in front of her fashion idol, and not even taking credit for it. All so he could come back to school. Before you say it could have been embarrassing, that's why she didn't tell him - Adrien knows for a fact that Marinette didn't steal the book from him.

She mellowed out herself when Adrien made the first move several times in Despair Bear

The entire lesson that Befana offered: The most important thing about a present is the person who is giving it. Marinette was beyond ecstatic that Adrien made a handmade present for her.

She was fine with letting her elaborate plan to catch Adrien's attention get ruined to help a baby and his mother.

What? Marinette was sad that Adrien wasn't able to come to have ice cream with their friends? How dare she?

She helped him hide from his fans, and ran all around Paris with him so he could get see his mother's film. The banter she had with him in the theater was an added bonus.

It's okay that Marinette didn't take the opportunity to confess to Adrien in Troublemaker. I highly doubt a romantic like her would want her confession to come out like that.

She was ready to help Adrien out with Kagami, even if it hurt her feelings.

The beginning of Anansi.

In Style Queen, Marinette confided in Adrien about her nerves and the fact that Audrey Bourgeois would judge her design, all without stuttering.

Several times, she is encouraged by Adrien to embrace her talent and her design.

I will admit, Adrien feeling bad about Chloe leaving (and he didn't guilt trip anyone!! He was just saying that HE felt sad!!) was a touchy subject for Marinette, but even then, she felt awful that Adrien was upset, and chose to not rub it in his face that she was happy that Chloe left.

Marinette didn't feel the need to tell Adrien about Lila threatening her in the bathroom because it was enough for her that she wasn't the only one who could see through Lila and she had someone with her for support. And she also didn't hold his policy of taking the high road against him.

Desperada? Yes, Luka was the guitar player and she SHOULD have ideally chosen him, but it's not like she chose Adrien based on his looks, instead she judged based on skill. It may have been wrong, but the point still remains, Marinette did not choose Adrien over Luka because of his looks.

And Adrien was a solid choice for Aspik. Marinette has SEEN him be selfless and save many people even as a civilian, so why the hell not? If Adrien wasn't Chat Noir already, I bet they would have won with him.

And she took the time to let him know that she appreciates everything that he must have done for her.

The statue scene was embarrassing, and I have made this point several times now, neither of them hold it against each other. Adrien felt horrified for making Marinette feel that way, not because he nearly got kissed by her. And if Marinette really had a superficial crush on him, why would she clearly tell him in a highly distressed tone that she did not find his prank funny??

Also they sat down and talked about it, accepted what happened instead of trying to act like it didn't, and in literally the next episode Adrien ran and confessed to her and she accepted to be in a relationship with him, and even if you exclude that alternative timeline, Adrien is still more than happy just to be in Marinette's presence, meaning that he doesn't hold it against her, and Marinette valued him so much after that embarrassing incident that she let him be happy with whom she thought he liked, instead of avoiding him or hating him for putting her in that position.

She was happy to help Adrien with his notes in Stormy Weather 2, and she didn't even have any ulterior motives behind it, she just wanted to help him.

She has genuine fun modeling with him in Reflekdoll

Her concern in Onichan was Adrien possibly getting hurt by Lila, not that she was afraid Adrien would fall for her, because come on, she knows Adrien better than that.

Instead of freaking out, Marinette saw that she had fallen asleep on Adrien and just took the moment. (Growth)

And she also talks to him just fine in the entire episode Startrain

She was happy in a relationship with him, she mellowed out her anxieties and she got to know him better, she wasn't nervous or terrified after she finally got to confess.

She was willing to break up with him so that Adrien could be able to come to school and so that he would not lose his relationship with his father.

Marinette fears rejection from Adrien. That's what causes her to make mad judgements and mistakes, like Desperada, Party Crasher, Animaestro, Ikari Gozen,etc, but she is self aware enough to always come around and fix them,no matter what.

Oh, she antagonizes every girl who likes Adrien? Yes, Marinette has a jealous streak. But her issues with Chloe predate her meeting Adrien, and Chloe really isn't pursuing Adrien anymore. The only time Marinette antagonizes Lila is in Volpina, and she's learned her lesson since then, apologized to Lila even if she didn't accept it, and now her reasons for disliking Lila have everything to do with who she is as a person, and nothing to do with Adrien. Yes, she disliked Kagami (the only real threat to the love square) initially, but she made amends and is actually friends with her now.

I really don't see how the intensity of Marinette's feelings towards Adrien should invalidate them in any way. It's NORMAL to be attracted to someone physically, it's romanticism that made us all believe that that was some sort of a sin, and regardless, that is NOT the case with Marinette.

In other words, stop shaming these kids for liking each other too much or not liking each other enough.

AU where Adrien is darker and has less morals

- Similar to how things are in canon but the show would be rated r15 cos of heavy violence >:D - Basically Adrien looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you. Marinette looks like a cinnamon roll and is a cinnamon roll. - During the umbrella scene in Origins, Adrien works out that Marinette is Ladybug. He keeps quiet about it though to respect her privacy and will wait till she’s ready to share on her own terms. - Marinette is unaware that Adrien and Chat Noir are the same person whilst Adrien is oblivious to her humongous crush on him. He tries to subtly win her over both as Adrien and as Chat, resulting in Blushinette or Sassinette. - Whenever an Akuma manages to get a hit on Ladybug or any of Chat’s friends, he doesn’t hesitate to pummel them down vigorously. - Ladybug always has to scold him for being too harsh on the Akumas, constantly reminding him that there’s an innocent victim underneath being used as a puppet. - Imagine a scenario: “Goodness Chaton! Just because they gave me a black eye doesn’t mean you can go ahead and break their arm or toss them off the Eiffel Tower! Only God would know what would happen if I were to bleed from an itty bitty scratch,” “Then that would be the day we find out what Cataclysm does to a person, M'Lady,” “…N-Nice joke Chat.” “I wasn’t joking Ladybug.” - Since he already knows, Chat isn’t insistent on knowing her identity or asking if they could reveal themselves to each other. - This mad lad is very protective over Marinette in school in his own way. He’s infamously known for having eyes that would “burn your soul” if you get on his wrong side - He is sarcastic and sharp with Chloe, especially when he finds out that she made Marinette’s school life a nightmare before he and Alya joined. In fact his mumbled threats have Chloe shit scared to come near him or Mari. - Chloe does try to improve as a person but our lovely trio: Alya, Adrien and Nino repels Chloe from coming near Marinette. Our Asian girl is blissfully unaware of this set up, too busy thinking about tonight’s patrol with Chat. - Though, Adrien can be really sweet and selfless. When Nino admits that he’s crushing on Marinette too despite knowing Adrien is aiming for her, Adrien encourages him to go for her. It killed him inside but Adrien thought that if he can’t make Marinette happy, at least she’d be in great hands with Nino (Animan episode). Thankfully, Alya and Nino gets locked in a cage, bonds, and BOOM we have Djwifi~ - Chat Noir’s solo patrols is when the beast wakes up. The good people of Paris may see him and Ladybug as a comforting presence but the bad, evil people know how brutal Chat can be. - Chat has broken limbs belonging to thieves, shattered ribs belonging to abusive people, left killers in a near death state. - Adrien feels bad enough that Ladybug is unaware of his actions during the night and the last thing he wants to do is shed unnecessary blood, scaring the heroine. - Plagg fully supports Adrien’s actions as he’s chaotic neutral “Listen kid, this is why the power of Destruction, us, serve as a counterpart to the power of Creation. We exist to show that mercy is a luxury and the consequences that befalls on the people that take advantage of kindness. Ladybug may turn the other cheek and forgive; we fight fire with with fire. We will take away life if necessary. So don’t feel guilty at all.” “Thanks Plagg…I just want to keep Paris…and my Marinette safe no matter what. I’d do anything. Everything.” - (See the parallels between Adrien and Gabriel here~? ;D) - Hawkmoth/Gabriel is very intimidated by Chat Noir and Adrien also managed to scare him a few times. - When Ladybug contacted Chat Noir to protect Marinette whilst she plays as bait and goes on the date with Evillustrator, he cataclysmed Chloe’s balcony to dust in rage for her recklessness. - During Horrificator, Chloe didn’t interrupt the kiss between Marinette and Adrien; she stood there gawking. Adrien was a smitten kitten, full on kissed Marinette that Nino and Alya had to shout their names so that they pulled apart. - “Girl, you’re one of the most smartest people out there yet you can’t grasp the fact that Mini Agreste is head over heels for you???” “Alya-aaa! You’re just saying that to make me feel hopeful…” “He. Made. Out. With. You. For. Ages. On. That. Film. We. Did.” “Cos it was in the script!” “There was tongue!” “He was making it realistic?” “MON DIEU MARINETTE DUPAIN CHENG! HE WAS LIKE A SATISFIED CAT THAT GOT THE CREAM AFTER THAT DAMMIT!” - Oblivious Marinette is best Marinette. - During the Dark Cupid/Dislocoeur event, after getting hit by an arrow, Chat successfully cataclysmed Ladybug’s mask. She pulls him in for a kiss to not only break the spell but also to hide her face. - When Chat regains consciousness, Ladybug found a plastic bag conveniently blowing past, puts it over her head to hide her identity. - The rest of the event goes as canon except Marinette had a plastic bag on her head this whole time. - Tikki finds out that Adrien is both Chat Noir and that he has known Ladybug’s identity from the start. She finds that it makes sense with how extra protective he is over her civilian identity and thanks Adrien for keeping Marinette safe at all times as well as being a worthy partner. - A secret group of criminals that are against the heroes, plot the downfall of Ladybug and Chat Noir together. - Chat Noir, having underground links and connections from his feats, catches wind of this. - He’s too late and Ladybug gets shot by a special bullet straight after an akuma attack, right in the chest. - Chat Noir cataclysms every single criminal that was part of the organisation into rotting corpses in pure rage. Hawkmoth tries to akumatise him but Chat cataclysms the butterfly too into dust. - Marinette luckily survives thanks to the hospital receiving her so quickly. She was born with Dextrocardia with Situs Inversus (which means that her heart is on the right side rather than the left). If her heart was in the normal position, she would have died. - Adrien doesn’t leave her side during the day and Chat Noir during the night. Marinette has no recollection of the incident she got shot. - When Lila comes along, Adrien knew she was trouble and a liar from the start. He had the urge to cataclysm the whole school as they bought into Lila’s lies without any questioning. Plagg almost encouraged him. - Adrien took the opportunity to mess with Lila. “I am Volpina. A hero much, much better and stronger than Ladybug. This is my miraculous,” “Hehe…Lila, Lila, oh Lila… showing me your precious miraculous is a huge mistake. If you don’t want a first hand view of a fox getting skinned alive, you will listen to I, Hawkmoth, and hand over your miraculous to me.” - Lila literally runs off, scared shitless, shouting that she was joking and that Volpina doesn’t exist. - Marinette overhears everything and has a crisis. “OH NO TIKKI WHAT DO I DO!? THE LOVE OF MY LIFE IS THE ENEMY OF PARIS AND ICANTFIGHTHIMWHAAAAT!?” - It takes Tikki 15 minutes to calm Marinette down and promise that Adrien isn’t Hawkmoth. Said kwami swears internally to teach both Plagg and Adrien a lesson for riling Mari up to this level. - Adrien overhears Marinette’s freakout cos he’s literally 6 feet away and both he and Plagg are wearing shit eating grins. “Ah, so the stammering and shyness makes sense now. Love of her life hmmm? I love the sound of that~” “Keep your whiskers on kitten and run before Tikki throttles me for letting you go too far with that joke!” “Aww… but I wanna ask Marinette for a little kiss,” “YOU WILL CAUSE THE LITTLE BUG TO COMBUST AND DIE AND BOOM PARIS IS A GONER!”
