stefan hasn't been around horses often, only occasionally when someone comes to stay at the estate & he catches a glance. he watches the princess stroke the horse, it's grace & calmness was something the teen admired. he hums softly, his own fingers reaching up to gently stroke the side of it's neck. " forgive me, i do not know much about horses. what is the difference between the two ? " he asks softly, turning to the princess. " are you a good rider ? "

he's honestly surprised it took him this long to say it, but with everything they've been through ... he wasn't sure if she'd feel the same. & then he listens to the way her heart is beating against her chest, & he can feel her aura pressing down on him in the best way possible. he's sensing her love, her happiness. finally, they're in a good place, great even. he can only hope it'll get better from here. truth be told, stefan didn't exactly know why he was confiding in katherine. or why he was opening up to her about his past, even. perhaps he felt like she'd be one of few people who wouldn't judge him, just voice her opinion ... which might aggravate him at some point but it's better than being judged. or maybe he felt like it wouldn't hurt. she already read through several of his journals at this point, so she knew enough anyway. either way, it was too late for him to turn back now. stefan shifts against the couch, eyes moving to the journal she'd stolen & then back up at the doppelganger. " yeah, i wasn't aware but it was still some version of me. i'm aware at the start, when i start to feed from someone. but then it just ... fades. but i still start it. i start it knowing what it's going to turn into if i don't recognize what i'm doing before the ripper takes over. "

he exhales, fingers pulling gently on the tassels of the pillow next to him. " i don't think i'm a bad guy, most of the time. i just struggle with the guilt i hold. but thank you, for listening. i know i don't always give you the benefit of the doubt but i appreciate you letting me vent. "

stefan knew the struggles of being a new vampire, the bloodlust, constant hunger & fear of killing someone innocent. he knew first hand how hard it could be, which was why he was so hands on with helping the boys as they work through their transition. he's observed over the last couple weeks that steven seems to be the one struggling the most. the most antsy, if you will. & he understands, with all the time they have now but not knowing what do with it, how could he not be antsy. stefan advised they not go out alone, god knows how many accidents could happen. plus, he's not in the mood to clean up bodies. eyes move to steven when he sighs, he lowers his book. " doing things ? what do you want to do, steven ? " lips purse when he says he's hungry, the elder vampire nods. " i can get you a blood bag from the basement fridge, or if you want i can take you to the woods. " he offers, neither option was ideal but it was the best way the other could learn control.

trying to adjust to being a vampire wasn't something easy, not for any of them and especially steven. the constant thirst that never quite felt quenched, how he barely felt in control of his body ( even more so now ) with strength and speed. if it weren't for having stefan around, he isn't sure how he'd be able to survive or to keep him in check from doing something incredibly stupid. it takes time to adjust, he was considered to be a baby vampire much to his displeasure but he has faith that maybe he'll be able to control his hunger and urges. a little sigh leaves his lips as he leans back into the sofa, eyes close to attempt to stop the pounding of his own head, unsure if his head was aching from lack of sleep or something else. ❛ why are we sitting around again ? shouldn't we be out ... doing things ? i'm kind of hungry ... ❜ eyes peek open to look over at stefan, observing the other for a moment.

concerts weren't stefan's favorite past time, they were obviously loud & he'd always rather be home with a book. however, bon jovi was usually an exception when it came to concerts. plus, lexi would never allow him to miss this opportunity. she always claimed he needed to lighten up. which ... wasn't exactly inaccurate. so, here he was with his best friend, another concert she had gotten them into for free. ( oh, the magic of compulsion ) she's beaming, squeezing his arm in anticipation for bon jovi while stefan's standing there, a beer settled in his hand. usually he was a hard liquor type of person but at a place like this beer seemed like the easier & better choice.

he's about to speak when someone steps in, asking him a question. lips pull into a small grin as he looks down at the bottle in hand then back up at the red head. " oh, it's just a beer. i got it from the stand near the entrance. but i'm sure there's more around here, it's a concert so there's gotta be. "

the nineties and their concerts was something for the books , at least to jessie . eighteen year old jessie sneaking out of her parents' house with some guy she met at the bar with her fake id was probably her favorite past time , but when it came to doing things on her own , she has just as much fun as she would with other people. a life of the party , a social butterfly , and even worse , a very excitable drunk before the sadness kicks in at the end of the night . but jessie was seeing bon jovi. front row . waited outside for hours just to secure those tickets , and now that she's there , there was only one way to look, and that was up.

heart shaped sunglasses topped on ginger ringlets curls , jessie stuffs her hands in her pockets as she grins to the pair beside her , presumably a couple -- the woman hanging onto the man's arm cheerfully and clapping her hands together at even just being in the room with the band . but jessie paid no mind to it, grinning to herself before she makes her introduction. " what are we drinkin'? " she chimes , glancing around for a drink stand . " and where can i get some ? "

mentally im friends with a lot of u guys even if we dont talk or never have talked and probably will never talk directly. its ok. the warriors bond transcends words
