Yeah, that didn’t happen. So here’s a mashup of stuff I’m proud of that I’ve done in the millennium I’ve been gone. I’m sure my 3 follows really missed me.

Changing it up

OK, so I’ve had a sort of late night epiphany: I want to learn realism. As fun as it is to draw style-heavy nightmare fuel, I feel like I can benefit from some knowledge of anatomy. Style comes from deconstructing the complexity of the real world down to its basics, allowing us to recognize something for what it is, even though it isn’t a completely accurate portrayal of it. My friend quoted an artist saying: “you need to understand the rules before you can break them.” and the more I think about it the more I believe it. My current style also isn’t quite what I want, and I have entire comics that I want to make, but I just can’t imagine drawing them in my current style. I’d like to meet halfway, between realism and what I currently have. I may start posting my learning process rather than doodles, so it’s gonna be a lot of sketches. Buckle up you entire two people who see this one of which is probably my sister, because it’s gonna be a wild ride for all of us.

D.A.D #6 I sharpened my pencil for the first time in a month, so that’s why there’s a difference in line thickness. Been thinking about getting a notebook with normal paper, but lined paper is kinda my shtick at this point.

D.A.D #5 I’m just going to start putting random thoughts down here since it’s pretty self explanatory what I’m doing at this point. Attack on Titan season 2 was a disappointment, Eren is still a brat, Mikasa is best gril.

D.A.D #2, I just wanted to draw faces. Anyone looking at my posts has probably figured out that I really like drawing teeth...

Starting D.A.D (Doodle a Day) to make sure that I keep drawing. The drawing doesn’t have to be entirely finished, nor does it have to be just one drawing. I often go for long periods of time without drawing, and this is to prevent that.
