Details in Evil Dead that make me sick (my shayla’s aughhh)

Both Cheryl and Ash had their right hands get possessed before they were possessed fully. Except Ash was saved and Cheryl wasn’t.

Shelly chewed off her right hand, as another example of somebody removing their own hand.

Ash and Linda’s love language was music and dancing, and one of the last ways “Linda” tried to torment Ash was by dancing with him.

On the second night, Deadite Linda danced by herself to mock the real Linda and make fun of Ash.

Scotty was the one who made fun of Cheryl every time she was scared, only to suffer the exact same fate as her (attacked by the trees and then possessed.)

Cheryl likely went out into the woods alone without telling anybody because every time she told somebody about the creepy stuff happening, they all ignored her.

Ash’s passion was music (specifically piano) and he lost the ability to play when he cut his hand off. The deadites then torment him with this later, by possessing the piano and making it play by itself.

The last thing Ash gave Linda was a necklace, but when she was possessed he was forced to chop off her neck.

Cheryl was the only saveable deadite. Linda had been decapitated, Shelly had been dismembered and Scotty died before his possession. If Ash had held Deadite Cheryl off for a few more minutes she could’ve been exorcised (from the sunlight.)

Ash chopped his hand off for nothing because he still gets possessed.

Ash insults the “Hero from the Sky” for doing a shit job at destroying the deadites, only to realise an hour or two later that he’s that hero.

Annie Knowby was the perfect partner/teammate for Ash because she knew all the historical stuff about the Necronomicon and the deadites. Ash having the perfect supportive character only to have her die and leave a million questions unanswered is tragic (rip Annie, she deserved better.)

Scotty and Cheryl’s corpses melted into nothing, making it as if they never existed. By the time of Evil Dead 2, Ash forgot all about them and only remembered Linda.

Whilst most of the weird sounds and moving parts and such are the deadites fuckery, some of it is Ash’s hallucinations.

The Kandarian Demon in Evil Dead 2 has an interesting detail. On his body are multiple faces of his previous victims, but the interesting thing here is that for some reason, Ash’s face is there too.

Ash’s shirt goes from a bright, saturated blue to a grey colour in Evil Dead 2, to literally brown in Army of Darkness. Then in the TV show his shirt is now only a dark blue.

Raymond Knowby only had the Necronomicon in his cabin because he researched Castle Kandar for historical purposes because the kingdom had used gunpowder centuries before it was invented. This was only the case because Ash had shown them how to invent gunpowder when he was there in Army of Darkness. The only reason Knowby found the book was because Ash had retrieved it and given it to the Wise Man. So basically the events of Evil Dead only started because of how Ash changed the past. Confusing? Yes, but also sad. Ash inadvertently doomed his friends to death.

Not a single sibling relationship ends well in the franchise. The closest would be Mia and David, but David still ends up dying anyways.

Shelly is the only character from the first movie to never be mentioned ever again.

Scotty is willing to stay and fight, until Shelly is possessed and killed. Him having to kill his girlfriend is his final straw.

Scotty was so scared of dying and is the only one who actually got to die (technically Linda, Shelly and Cheryl don’t die. Scotty is the only character who dies for real and then is possessed.)
