So today I had a jumping lesson with one of the most amazing talented teacher and photographer Amanda Straughan, Not only has she been there for some of the most amazing milestones in my barrel racing journey, she鈥檚 also gonna be there for my hunter debut this Sunday. This woman is one of the most selfless, kindest human beings who I have ever met. With all the crap she鈥檚 been through she still puts a big smile on her face and captures so many amazing images, not to mention she listens to people鈥檚 stories. I appreciate her and everything she dose for me and other people because I know if I were in her shoes I couldn鈥檛 do half of the stuff she dose!

Hi everyone I guess I should introduce myself my name is Sam, I live in British Columbia on the beautiful Vancouver Island. I'm 16 and just started riding last year on November 14 2016. I was about 2 when my dad plop me on a pony knowing I adored horses, little did he actually know he made a bad choice for is finances in the future 馃槀. Ever sense I can remember I was a horse girl even though I wasn't in lessons (welfare so not affordable) or didn't live on a farm i never grew up around or even near horses but they were definitely a big part of my life and were going to be! So here's to my journey that I hope to share with people and meet new people along the way! This is Jack he was my first lesson horse and sometimes I still ride him he helped me progress fast so I had moved on from him to another horse who you'll meet soon!
