“ noted. ” samira said softly when the male admitted that he didn’t believe in luck. “ how can you believe in making your own luck, if you don’t believe in luck to begin with? ” she challenged the other with a slightly playful tone. “ what have i done to earn a few drinks? are my looks not enough? ”

JOSEPHINE shrugged her shoulders, gesturing to the emptied shop in front of them.  “ just this place. ”  she hummed her reply with a light smile as she turned to face her.  “ i think it would make a lovely bakery. ”  anyone who knew josephine knew that she was almost always baking something.  

WHEN the other motioned to the building in front of them, samira turned her attention towards it and smiled softly. “ i suppose i can see that. ” she agreed with a nod. “ i take it you like to bake? ”

NORMALLY when she had a bad day, samira went for a run -- but the weather was awful tonight and she didn’t much feel like running, so she found herself at the bar instead. hearing the male’s offer to buy the next round of drinks from the other end of the bar, samira turned his direction and rose a curious brow. “ is that an open offer, or am i fresh out of luck? ”

ANOTHER HOME RUN FOR THE HOME TEAM or whatever is the americans say. he won & it was all that matters. one step closer to the goal & another step closer to the life he deserves. carter will drink to that at any point or any hours for what matters. ❛  okay mates, the next round on me, cheers . ❜ he announces to anyone closer to listen, mostly, speaking to his fellow associates but also to whoever wanted to sink some alcohol in their systems.

JOSEPHINE turned her attention toward the person who answered her and flushed with a bit of embarrassment.  “ oh, sorry!  i was just kind of talking to myself. ”  josephine answered with a shrug of her shoulders.  she turned to look back at the shop and then at the woman walking in front of her.  “ just kind of, musing aloud. ”  

HEARING that the other had been talking to herself, samira couldn’t help but laugh slightly. “ i thought that might be the case. ” she admitted softly to the other. “ well, since you’ve got my attention, mind telling me what you were musing aloud about? ”

“ do you like them? ” alaska said, showing off her brand-new sparkly heels. “ i bedazzled them myself? ” she glanced at the other person’s shoes. “ you know i have more gems and glitter at home, i can show you how to bedazzle yours, too! ” she giggled, momentarily distracted by the shininess of her shoes. “ they remind me of…of diamonds ” she murmured, softly.

“ LIKE them? girl, i LOVE them! i am an absolute sucker for a good pair of heels! ” samira admitted with a giggle as she continued to examine the other’s sparkly footwear. “ wait, wait, wait – you did this yourself? you didn’t buy them like this? ” she asked, completely in awe. “could have fooled me! ” she added with a laugh. “ you have GOT to show me how to do this! i have so many pairs of old heels that i don’t wear because they’re so worn out, this would bring them back to life. ”

JOSEPHINE had been walking around the neighborhood for a while, just exploring for a bit when she had happened upon a shop that looked like it was closed down for a while.  it had a little sign saying the space was available and everything.  she could almost picture what she would do with the space–a bakery.  it had always been something in the back of her mind.  “ i always thought about opening a bakery someday, so either this is a sign or it’s just really good timing. ”  she chuckled, mostly to herself as she looked around the sidewalk.  she was too busy to take on another thing.  wasn’t she?

WHEN she was bored, samira often found herself wandering around the city to pass the time. maybe it was the adventurous side she had, or maybe it was just her inability to sit still for too long – whatever it was, it happened often. this time, she was walking down the sidewalk when she happened to come across a blonde, who seemed to be talking to herself? “ pardon? ”she asked softly, thinking at first that she’d been talking to her as she walked by, but not completely sure if that had been the case.
