Shout out to characters who don't care how they are treated, as long as someone pays them any attention at all

THERE IS. a website. that takes 3D models with seams and pulls it apart to make a plushie pattern and informs you where things need to be edited or darts added for the best effect. and then it lets you scale it and print off your pattern. and I want to lose my MIND because I've lost steam halfway through so many plushie patterns in the mind numbing in betweens of unwrapping, copying all of the meshes down as pieces, transferring those, testing them, then finding obvious tweaks... like... this would eradicate 99% of my trial and error workflow for 3D models to plushies & MAYBE ILL FINALLY FINISH SCREAMTAIL...

I made an OC bingo because I wasn't satisfied with any of the ones I'd found. Use for characters in your original fiction, or OCs in fanfics!

Tragic lore drop but Taran isn't a great person when the story starts out. Most of the characters in wbb are grey aligned, and Taran fits into that. But at the beginning he is very much an antagonist driven by his stormy feelings and is prone to lashing out. He doesn't mean to break Kaerr's wrist, but he's angry with Neirin and Kaerr trying to get between them and take some blame only escalates the situation. Taran hasn't had to reckon with the fact that he's so much bigger than Kaerr, there arent other fair folk or humans around that he's ever had to know. The merfolk who arent his family are quick to appease his temper, and his family are just as strong if not more than capable of deescalating him or else able to take a shove or a grab from him if he's really provoked enough.

Its not right, its not good, that he responds so violently. This is not who he wants to be, but it takes realizing his lashing out can have real consequences for him to find a way to reign himself in. Kaerr ends up paying the price for this lesson.

old bit of concept art thinking about who Taran's dance instructor might be. For those who don't know, Taran is a dancer and a general enjoyer of performing arts. He grew up idolizing the stories of battle his mother once lived. he had initially wanted to learn to fight, but his mother fought so hard for a world where her kids wouldn't have to do that. so she redirected him towards a form of dance in Coreilmar which is a sort of blend between a fighting style and dance. Im imagining a more fluid form ballet esq interpretation of a kata if that makes sense. Anyways, of course because Manon is an incredibly paranoid woman she wasnt going to let just anyone teach her kid, and hired an old friend of hers who followed her through war. Heulwen here was a dancer when they were younger. Though that passion was abandoned as they joined arms with Manon, just as the empress herself and many other stepped away from the arts their nation was known for to take up arms. Now with war largely over, they have reconnected with the art they once lived. they cannot perform as gracefully as before with their prosthetics and more limited range of motion in old age and disability, but they still adore the art and are proud to teach Taran. :] They're like an honorary uncle figure to Manon's children, which is really nice given Manon's estrangement from her actual siblings.

thinking of putting together one of those 30 day art challenges that's more geared towards story building. Trying to get ideas out now. I really like those art challanges i used to do them all the time. and I really liked the more character centric ones- but i think having one that focuses on the story and getting people to draw /write/create art themed around moments in their story might be fun. Really pushing more for like, fake screenshot type of pieces in energy if that makes sense?

idk ill think more about it tonight. I want it to be vague enough that people probably wont have to sub out prompts unless they really want to. I dont want things to be so specific that they cant apply broad stories, but i also dont want it to be like,, so vague that people are uninspired? i want to be like "think of a moment the story comes into conflict between its characters, do something for that scene" be it write or moodboard or fake screenshot etc yknow?

Falling down a deep dark pit and at the bottom there's a plate of cookies. They're my OCs. I've cookie run -ified the WBB cast what have I done.

I'm not sold on most of their names tbh. Febe especially deserved better than Red Licorice Cookie, but I do imagine her sailing on a ship with red licorice ropes would be a fun visual thing. Cattail Cookie for Reka is similarly not the best but alas, i was very tired when I wrote most of these.

Follow up art of Eisa and Kit ( @gumjester ) with some crackshipping og the two lol. This is not canon but every time the girls threaten each other in this group it feels a little sapphic so I thought this would be silly. The future that never was.

Drew my miraculous holders as ponies for funsies :] not in love with these designs but I had fun doing them! Nori (bottom left) also isnt supposed to lack a cutie mark- I had one for them but I erased it last minute as i didnt really like it. It was gonna be a medical symbol of some kind since they're a doctor. But I thought I could come up with a better design. Alas, it has no come to me yet, so we're here.

I tried to base everyone palettes off of their miraculous themes, not sure how well I did but I enjoy them :]

Tessa - Pegasus [SnowSharp] Cutiemark is a snowyflake pattern w/ ice skate representing skating talent but also keen sharpness

Meeko - Pegasus filly <3 Didn't come up with a good name for her, in part because I couldn't think it off of her talent. Whoops.

Milan - Pegasus [PaintTrip] Cutiemark is a Paint brush with splashed paint representing creativity and willingness to continue even after a stumble and making a mess

Jaan - Unicorn [BlueBow] Cutiemark is a violin with sheet music and a quill represented multi talent but especially multi-focus and dedication

Akida - Earth [LittleHaste] Simple cutiemark, little bolts to show how fast he is. He's extremely dexterous and flighty.

Antero - Pegasus [Golden Blaze] Straightforward Cutiemark, he's a troublemaker and he loves fire. Though you could argue that burning it all down to find a blank slate might have some good metaphors.

Nori - Unicorn [Stormy Dreamer] Cutiemark isn't present rn but as said above I planned for it to be a medical symbol of some kind to represent both their literal talent in medicine but also their want to help and heal others, even if that goal has been warped by their anger.

Holisoa - Earth [HolyNight] Cutiemark is her shield representing her strong sense of justice and will to protect others.
