Anyways I decided to take a screenshot of the newest TROD chapter once I was like, 3/4ths done with it and here’s my analysis on it :3

TROD SPOILERS:

HEY! Did you know cats will quite literally open their mouths a little and taste the air? They do it when they smell something and want to smell it better, cause they can- Yknow taste the scent on the air or some shit

That’s what Narinder was doing here.

He was tasting the air next to Lambert’s neck because he was tasting for a scent mark. The scent mark he had put on them the night prior by headbutting them. Cats headbutt and scent mark you to claim them as their own.

And bro knows that. Bro knows. What. He’s. Done.

Also just Narinder admitting to himself that he’s so used to Lambert now, he’s sitting there, waiting for them, when he could go home just as easily. He doesn’t even need to wait for them. Why did he? To make sure they got back okay? To say goodnight? To just be in their presence for a little bit longer? Who knows! But he did. He didn’t even want to tell Lambert, nor probably admit to himself, that he was waiting for them.

The One Who Waits...to be married

Narinder waited over a thousand years to be freed from imprisonment and see the overworld again, he's going to pick the best thing to wear and if no one will tell him what new customs have been created around it... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love to think that he's to intimidating for the villagers to ask directly as to who he is and his anti-social behavior leaves him in the dark to the rumor mill the Lamb now faces. Nicknames like "the reaper" "the waiting groom" "reaper bride" hang out on the horizon just out of earshot for Nari
