Fiji was an extremely unique experience. I spent some time there volunteering in a school. My first day I was thrown into a classroom of 45, 7 year old children and their regular classroom teacher was away. Despite being a teaching student, I had no idea what to do. These children and school system was very different to what I had experienced before. However I managed to engage them through games and getting to know you strategies I had learnt while on university placement. This was an amazing experience and one I hope to undertake again sometime in the future.
