Paul McCartney with Nirvana at last night’s 121212 Sandy benefit concert. I had serious mixed reactions when I heard this was gonna happen. Part of me was hoping that they did not play either any Beatles nor Nirvana songs… But another part of me was like “Woah… Part Beatles, part Nirvana?? I need to see this!”
Well, they only played one song together. But it was honestly amazing. They flowed better then I ever expected, and the best part was they didn’t do either a Nirvana or a Beatles song. It was an original song they put together from a jam session. It was good stuff. I’d like to hear a studio recording of it someday.
All my apprehensions about this performance went out the window after about five seconds into the song.
