Hey Reimaginers,
I am currently in Miami for the better part of June, as a member of the FIFA technical study group analyzing the men’s Club World Cup that's happening across the U.S. this month. I am proud to be the first woman to analyze a men’s tournament and more proud to know that I won’t be the last.
I am a part of a seven-person group that is here eating, sleeping, and breathing football. Sometimes I wake up and wonder, is this a dream? The other members of this group are some of the highest respected brains in the game. Christen keeps asking me if I’m intimidated. Strangely, I’m not. I’m eager to learn. I’m excited to contribute a diverse perspective and I’m truly enjoying myself.
Being here, surrounded by men in suits, I can’t help but feel that I represent all of you. And let it be known that I’m here both to learn and to disrupt… to resist and reimagine the global game and the powerhouse that is FIFA. And I’ll tell you what… this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work alongside Arsene Wenger, Roberto Martinez, and the like… The people that have the most answers are the ones still asking questions…
But guess what? I do prefer the women’s game!!!
Oh and you should know I’m flying home for 36 hours to shoot The RE—CAP show! You’re welcome.

CP: I like the agua fresca stand because it makes my Dear One so happy, and she gets her guanábana agua fresca, and then she's got the biggest smile. And I honestly don't even think Tobin would go with me to the farmer's market if it wasn't for the agua fresca, so that one is a must.

CP: We're bad gays. And we don't know anything about gay culture, gay community, or how to be a good lesbian.
So it was an upsetting turn of events that led us here to this chair, because for me, my rule of gayhood is- ... and lesbianism, is that you just get to be true to yourself, and then here I was studying the Encyclopedia of Lesbianism and I didn't know a thing on it.
I texted my older sister, who is married to a woman, and I said, "What gay things are you into?" And she said, "I'm not into anything trendy. I'm a grandma gay."
TH: Yeah, but she is a good grandma gay.
CP: But she said she is a good grandma gay.
TH: Yeah.
CP: And then she gave me a list of things. I knew nothing.
TH: Yeah. That was incredible. Thank you.
