Pontiac GTO brochure, 1967. This was the final year of the first generation. GTO an Italian abbreviation for Gran Turismo Omologato ("grand tourer homologated"), designating being certified by the FIA for racing in the grand tourer class. A Pontiac employee had the car homologated by the FIA in 1964, so that it was indeed possible for the GTO to compete in European sports car racing.

for varying modes of gender expression, i would imagine these colorful patches can be hidden or they can be added in with colorful paints.

Lincoln Presidential Limousine D-2, 1964. Also now as the "Quick Fix," this was created following the assassination of President Kennedy. Features included: complete re-armouring of rear passenger compartment, with a permanent non-removable top ("greenhouse") using transparent armour; addition of electronic communication devices; complete re-trimming of rear compartment, eliminating damage resulting from the assassination. The car was also repainted regal Presidential Blue Metallic with silver metallic flakes. The work was carried out by coachbuilders Hess & Eisenhardt and Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. The car was delivered to the White House in June 1964 with the car remaining in use by numerous presidents until 1977

Renault Sport RS 01, 2015. A sports racing car originally built to compete in the Renault Sport Trophy, the company's one-make racing series. It was powered by a 3.8-litre VR38DETT twin-turbocharged 24-valve V6 engine sourced from the Nissan GT-R and tuned by Nismo and Gibson Technology. However the series was discontinued in 2016 after two seasons due to lack of interest. The car was repurposed to compete in Group GT3 sports car racing.
