He’s not used to controlling it at full force, and every time he pushes too far it flares up, glowing like fire under his skin. It’s not just a wound — it’s a reminder of everything he’s survived, and of the strength he’s still learning to hold. Sometimes it feels like the scar is alive on its own, pulsing when his magic builds up, as if his body itself is warning him about how much is too much.
