   As Iris opens the door, one would expect them to go into a flurry of panic or scream to get someone’s attention. But they do neither, instead, with one hand clutching their staff, they bend down to pick the jarred heart up, spying Nny from behind the corner of their caravan as they stood back up to inspect the container and its contents. A fully Adult Human Heart, in perfect condition, though the jar would need a proper cleaning once brought back inside, that was easy enough to fix, they’d be able to put a nice little label on it then, too.

   “Delivery Boy came early.” Iris jokes, seemingly to both themself and to Nny, the clack of their walking stick sounding out as they turn to hobble back inside. “Now I can check Heart of list.”

" I remembered that you mentioned needing one for something and I figured, hey! I’m sure I probably would end up with one sooner or later, might as well as give it to you, I have no real use for them, ” hands moved in a flurry as he spoke wildly.

He slinked back over to them, eyes widened as he gave them a very earnest, lopsided smile.

" If you need anything else for whatever little project thing you’re working on, let me know, I can get you your shit real quick! ” he enthused, rapidly filling the air with his excited gesticulation. This level of sincerity was rare for him but he did like helping them. It made him feel useful, more so than his wastelock duties ever did.

Nevermind his scarlet stained hands.

Finn couldn’t help but laugh at the question, clearly not taking the suggestion seriously. “Helpin’ people is kinda my thing, so don’t feel singled out. I’d rather accidentally help some creep than ignore someone innocent any day.” Finn was aware this was a rather naive outlook on life, but he also had enough confidence in his own ability to defend himself should a situation go badly.

“Seriously, don’t worry about it. Like I said, just doin’ what I always do. The only thing you owe me is makin’ sure you take care of yourself.” 🌼

“ Aren’t you concerned about someone taking advantage of your kindness though? ”

His cheerful expression faltered and he grimaced at the thought. While he thought lowly of himself, he was aware that there were even worse people than himself. Hell, he has had to personally put up with and put down those sorts of people. 

He snickered and that grin crept its way back onto his face, “ Sure, I’ll try to take care of myself. Still feels odd, but eh, whatever! I’ll get over myself. ” Nny decided he wasn’t going to try and rain on his parade, he was being genuine after all and that was already miles better than most people he’s associated with before.

   He does Nny no favors, in nothing but boxers. The moment Vash reluctantly turns to follow the man, his stitched up torso is on display, again, the edges of a closed up vivisection already an angry hurting red. It’s sure to become a new scar over time, intersecting ancient roads on the map of his skin.

   There’s a heightened sensation of sharp stings, Vash suddenly feeling the aftermath of all 3 incisions that created the large capital I across the expanse of his torso and the sewing done to pull it all closed again like a teddy bear. It hurts, But the quicker he gets his things and gets the hell out, the faster he can chug a bottle of honey whiskey and numb the pain and forget the other sensations of the ordeal.

   But Right now, after the initial high of panic and rage, the plant feels like he’s going to crawl out of his skin.

   He’s only somewhat comforted by following the human, staying a few careful paces behind him to keep his distance. This way, Nny had no chance to grab him again and go back to cutting him up. It’s short lived though, when he realizes just how eerie the place is. He does not want to stick around any longer.

   Rhinestone Teal hues bore into the human as it looked back at the plant. Without the bloody stitches placed over drastic open wounds and the rise and fall of his ribs, one would have thought Vash were a mannequin, Silent, Unmoving and standing so tall, with proportions no human could naturally accomplish

   And once his garish red duster is in sight, He’s a renaissance painting in motion, A hand idly coming up to rub over the little hairless cat’s head as he moves towards his belongings. “Eric.” He utters, making a note of how the creature looks like Kuroneko if she’d been shaved completely bald. He prays that’s not the case, for, As much as he despised Nny in this moment, and for eternity, He’d hate to steal a pet form a… Caring owner..

   Vash sits a moment as he thinks to dress himself, only to realize pulling on the tight underarmor he typically wore could easily pop the stitches and make him fall apart again…

   So instead, Vash just shrugs on his duster, leaving it unbuttoned without all of its trimmings in fear of undoing the handiwork done to his torso. the last thing he need was something snagging on them and pulling them loose. The only other articles he wears are his gloves, not caring to tuck his left sleeve into the inside of the glove meant to hide his prosthetic, doing himself up like he usually did would only take unnecessary time he could be using to escape. if this could be even called that.

   Buckled Boots, Leather Pants, and Open Stomached Shirt, and the rest of his trimmings are gathered into arms as Vash stands up. The opening of his duster framing all of his torso’s scars and the new, deadly one Nny had carved into him.

   “Where’s the door?” Vash asks Nny, he’s fully dead set on leaving the place the way he is, right now.

He found himself fawning over the man once again, stomach twisted into knots. Overwhelmed, he reflexively started to chew at the flesh of his thumb. It was calming in a way, the occasional pain from tearing away at the skin of his hand was distracting enough. His feline burrowed himself closer to his shoulder, briefly bringing his attention away from his ill attempts at self soothing.

“ Right...the door. I could, uh, I guess I should say can show you where it is, ” he mumbled, setting a purring Eric back down onto the ground. The hairless cat took off for the other room, leaving Nny back to his thoughts without much of a buffer.

He worried a bloodied bottom lip between jagged teeth for a moment, breathing uneven and shaky.

A now-mangled hand gripped onto the opposite wrist as his mind became frenzied with thoughts and fantasies. He could bring Vash back to the door upstairs, he could do that of course. However, a sick part of himself wanted to not do that and to instead keep the angelic man down in his basement all for himself. A living work of art, locked away from the world for his own selfish desires.

In his mind, it’d almost be like hanging up a priceless painting in a museum, but displayed only for an audience of solely himself.

It made him feel sick at himself, ashamed even. He was trying to be a polite host, despite his prior amateur crack at surgery. He liked to think that he was typically polite in spite of the whole serial killer thing.

Despite this, he wanted to curl his fingers back into the angry incisions, ripping the plant back apart to take back control of the situation in his mind. It would soothe him, it would be very rude, but it would still soothe him to imagine.

He could hear the doughboys now, taunting him just out of view. It was humiliating. He was normally this beacon of fear and danger but here he was, unknowingly completely incapacitated by a pretty boy. 

He felt pretty silly, and pathetic.

Trembling hazel eyes turned up to meet those dizzying sapphires that were the other man’s eyes. Swallowing thickly, Nny found himself seemingly possessed by the spirit of his own impulsivity.

“ Has anyone ever told you how enchanting you are before? ” he inquired absentmindedly, visibly leaning closer into the other’s space.

Normally, he would be flaying his own hide at the thought of being a hair’s breadth away from another person, even if said person wasn’t exactly human. It reminded him too much of his very human desires and impulses for comfort and companionship, which sickened him.

He immediately regretted his comment as soon as he realised what exactly had slipped out of his mouth. A hand quickly shot up to cover it, attempting to mask the rising tint to his features in the process.
