Hi Sana and Team, I've been wandering around the synthmeapp website and I just wanted to say thank you for the initiative to make it open source. I don't know if anyone is still running this blog, but after browsing through the website and the Scribbles, I've been wondering about possible hardware that the team might... put out...? I'm so curious about the Biometric Sensors that can come out from you all. Again, if no one ends up reading this, just ignore! Have a good day!
I couldn’t just ignore this. Hi!
Sana here, I thought I would revive this blog for a moment by answering this post.
We actually have come together to continue this… through the Create Me Hub that is coming very soon. Look forward to some mini biometric gizmos coming your way… 203x!

Sana Scribbles: Holosynths?
I’ve heard from our partners in Singapore about how most of their new Smart buildings are ready for the implementation of Holographic Versions of synths. The tech we’ve had for a while at Synocorp would be the SynoLens, but those are still in the early stages of rolling out.
Tumblr media
Above are some sketches shared by the dev team behind it. Some fancy things are happening.
Tumblr media
We had Leisel, our product developer, make some sketches for potential prototypes. The Dutch is pretty much ahead on this technology, as biometric IRIS Scanning and data projection is a growing interest in the industry.
I know there have been some leaks about it on the Chinese market with some prototypes, and the user-testing has been ongoing in the South-East Asian market as a result. I love all these low-fidelity alternatives people are developing. For example, the other day they opened an exhibition on Michael Jackson in Sarawak with a Hologram version of himself opening the exhibit.
Tumblr media
Many countries are catching on. I’m proud to say that as someone who was born in Jogjakarta, remote school curriculums are making changes and including Web Development and Hardware Development as an optional elective. It’s an exciting process. Technology is a privilege that everyone should have!

Sana’s Scribbles: Home Synths
As an expansion of what Synocorp has developed for the home automatons that rolled out, I’ve suggested we expand on it and give it a functionality within the app and now Alexis and Suri are new data banks for the Synth Me team to play with. It will be great to see where we can go from here.
Tumblr media
They will be the first transferable Synths EVER. Echo is their Codename, but I would assume they can be addressed as Alexis and Suri, each for different functionality. (There have been conversations on whether or not they would embody a male or a female but really, I believe Synocorp has made them completely gender neutral.)
Unsurprisingly, they also still might be extremely encrypted data. It’s no secret that Synocorp wants to keep secrets, even from us. We understand though, since we’re a really obscure department.
Speaking of obscure things...
Our Research department dug this up from the Under Web. I found it hilarious because there were a bunch of spoofs of brands and logos, but these stood out the most.

You are all very creative. This would’ve been revolutionary, actually.

Sana’s Scribbles: Syntransfer
We have thought about transferring Synths between different ports. There are still limitations to this because Synths have to have data bank of someone- and unless it is backed up, it won’t be able to generate properly.
The team and I have some thoughts about expanding where we can place in the data banks.
Tumblr media
I think there’s a large potential in using what Synotech has. They’ve released a few things under Creative Commons licenses but haven’t disclosed to us on what we can tinker on.
Look forward to some more thoughts!

Link
I wanted to link this, because there’s a lot in store. I’m wondering about adding enhancements to our scanners.

Sana’s Scribbles: Iris Scanning
The Iris: SUCH A WONDER.
Here’s some of the tests we did on the new Iris Scanners. I think the tech might roll out soon. There’s a lot of quick things we can do with blue, green and hazel irises, so I had other team members help me. It’s so funny how dark brown irises get problems. Below are Amy’s and Illya’s results.
Tumblr media
There were a lot of filters involved. But how can we make this a more viable product for people? We’re in the progress of putting all this tech apart with some new Engineers in the Synotech Forensics Department. Fingers crossed!
Tumblr media
What are your opinions on this? Ask me a question, and the team will try to answer for you! Maybe there are further suggestions on how to control the FFT for this, because we should find ways to isolate irises further, without discriminating color.
FYI: My eyes are Dark Brown.

Sana’s Scribbles: Synth Me BETA
Reminiscing the earlier days of Synth Me! It’s so funny how long it’s been!
The nostalgia is real. It started as a baby BETA that I wanted to prove to my colleagues at Syntek. Indonesia has barely the resources for these kinds of technology, but I’m glad our start-up did their best to build from the ground up! When I transferred to Synotech, that’s when it all changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was actually highly requested! Hope You are not too disappointed by the lack of redesign. It’s been hard to get a new Digital Designer on board.

Sana’s Scribbles: Palms!
So I thought about a few things and it made whole heaps of sense. There’s so many parts to our palm that we haven’t even explored yet. I made a few scans yesterday using some synotech gizmos... There’s heaps of them. This is crazy.
Tumblr media
I think there’s so much to gestures we can add to the app.
Our palm has many parts, and each provide a different form of identification.
There are so many friction edges.
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of indepth information we have yet to know!
