“kaeya?” you call out, wondering where your husband went to. he isn't present anywhere in the house, you opened the creaking oak windows to check, and there he was.

he was once again chugging a bottle of wine with a disgruntled diluc, eyes narrowed as the red-head took a sip of grape juice. kaeya was red in the face, happily hitting diluc's back and urging him to drink more of his juice and belting out a laugh before insulting his drink of choice.

you called out to him and waved, and he waved back. diluc giving you a quick nod before turning to the cavalry captain, who loosened his tie and while wobbling approached you with a cheeky grin on his face, kaeya opened his mouth to say something and you anticipated it.

with a raise of your eyebrow, kaeya finally spoke up, “look at that guy, drinking grape juice.. what kind of man would drink that? so unromantic, but wine.. see, no wonder i got a pretty gal like you..”

diluc just sighed and gestured for you to take him inside the house and your giggling self brough kaeya in, his continued rambling of the unromanticness of grape juice and diluc himself never stopped, well until he passed out.

“darling?“you heard kaeya faintly call out for you, and you swiftly went inside his office. he sat comfortably in a velvet blue chair complete with a headrest and armrest. “yes?“ walking in before sitting down on his lap, a smug smirk on his face.

he took your hand and kissed the back of it, “i got you a gift. i got it while i was out patrolling.“ taking out a pretty blue rose before handing it to you, “this is so amazing, kae! how’d you find this?“ and your smile quickly faded as you gave him a suspicious look.

“did you kill another abyss mage and steal this from them?“ “maybe~“ you sighed and looked at him, thanking him for the rose. “next time, i’ll defeat a hilichurl and get you a necklace made from the mask, hm? oh! don’t worry, ’m gonna make it look pretty.“

he likes to spend time with you in his lab, trying new things so he can make a discovery using alchemy

would take five-minute breaks by nuzzling his head on your shoulder and napping

definitely has his hands holding you by the waist as he snores

goes on out-of-town dates with you and you sometimes end up in liyue

“look at that, such a fine color...“ he pointed at a geo crystalfly, taking a picture with a camera ji tong gave you as he held your hand. he looked around the yellowy grass for any other type of creature, even a lawachurl could do.

you nodded as you sat on the grass, taking deep and long breaths as you admired the scenery near qingyun peak. “once i collect data from creatures in liyue, darling. can we go to inazuma? i heard there are species that can only live there, so many ideas for my new invention.

“ooh ooh! and there are sakura trees there! they grow pink flowers!“ you chimed in, looking at him with a soft smile as he held his chin, thinking deeply. “i have not seen one of those yet, i must remind myself to take a picture!“ he smiled and sat beside you, checking the camera before kissing your cheek.

poems galore, he actually sang outside your window to get you to date him!!

likes simple things but will make you get on dvalin and soar through the skies in fear as he simply snored beside you.

he likes hanging out windrise under the big tree, or at the tavern to check if he's too drunk to talk or walk

will treat you with so much love, and gift you so many things for windblume, dandelions, windwheel aster, and is that a bottle of wine—?

"uh, venti? what's with all the stuff..?" you looked up at you boyfriend, his hands placed on his waist as he looked at you with glee. "it's windblume today, love! i got you flowers and— wait, that bottle of wine is mine, hehe." he scratched the nape of his neck, and you giggled.

he stayed quiet for a few seconds but he finally spoke up, "i wanna spend my whole life with you! and spend every windblume festival with you too!" he smiled widely, taking a dandelion and blowing on it, the wind making it form a small heart that made its way towards you.

"aww, that's so sweet venti!" you cooed, kissing him on the cheek before he grinned again, this time with malicious intent. "wanna go on a ride with dvalin? i'll bring you to liyue so we can give the old fart (zhongli) a present"
