not a lot of people really preach this but saying that el is mike's favourite person besides will is the biggest reach ever sorry. they havent had ANY time to grow or bond for mike to consider her and will his two favourite people. i know a lot of people love elm!ke but they are NOT platonic soulmates who right after breaking up become besties 4 ever. they are not. they need to bond and have a proper conversation at least where they aren't making out or arguing.
