i wish all the (majority white) wlw/sapphic/lbt women blogs were as openly anti racist as they are anti twerf/transmisogyny, obvi this isnt every blog and we non-trans women need to do better for trans women in our community

Its so backhanded to write “ trans friendly” in your bio and then be a huge fucking racist on your blog, as if trans women of color arent more likely to receive racialized transphobic violence at the hands of white supremacy, and capitalism, there is nothing “trans friendly” about being a racist or letting racists come into our spaces

i just wish more white wlw were sticking there necks out for black and brown women by openly being anti racist/racism on their blogs, listening when we call them out on racism/antiblackness/cultural appropriation, donating and boosting our donation posts and supporting/uplifting our unique struggles

LUNDJA ZINE - SUBMISSION CALL !!

The project : A zine about lesbian cultures, with a few issues coming out every year on a variety of themes (cats! tattoos! fashion! music!). It's submission-based, and prioritizes submissions from lesbians of color, although any lesbian can submit.

Why? : Well, lesbians, and particularly lesbians of color, often do not have fun, light-hearted content. This zine will attempt to deliver that to you!

Whomst? : The editor and only person currently working on this project is a Franco-Algerian lesbian, whom you can follow on instagram and twitter @botanicatstudio. 

What? : The final product will hopefully exist both in paper and e-book formats. It will be delivered worldwide, and the price will be set as low as possible to pay for the manufacturing price and the next issue, and to deliver free zines to the contributors.

Who can submit? : Lesbians! It should go without saying but trans women are included here, transmisogynists are not. 

The contributors will alas not be remunerated, since there's no budget for this project as of now and the price of the zine will be kept as low as possible, but they will receive a free copy with free shipping and a cat-themed linoprint as a thank you gift.

THE FIRST ISSUE: Cats (and the lesbians who love them)

The first issue will be about cats! Inspired by Irene Reti's "Cats (and their dykes)", the editor's own love for their cat, and the iconic relationship between lesbians and cats, it only seemed fitting for a first issue. You can submit art, poems, short stories, photographs… Anything! As long as it's about cats.

If you submit in a language that's not English, please provide an English translation as well. If you submit in a language that's neither English or French, make sure to proofread it with extreme care as the editor won't be able to do it.

Keep in mind that the zine will be in black and white, and that your pictures need to be high-quality enough to not be pixelated when printed.

for young lesbians just coming into the butch label, obtaining/wearing traditionally masculine clothes and presenting them out in public for the first time is such a big moment and turning point but i don’t see it being talked about very much so

young/newly identifying butch lesbians finally coming into their own style—u are fucking amazing and are doing so great!!!
