Suzanne Collin’s just said fuck you to everyone who’s ever critiqued the Hunger Games as being a “teen girl saves the day” story. She said oh, Mockingjay didn’t make it clear enough? Here’s a book about how people have been rebelling for decades only to have their efforts suppressed and propagandized. Rebellion takes time and it takes failure and Katniss may have been the spark that ignited the wildfire but she did so standing atop the doused flames of everyone who came before her.

I don’t like how people perceive Laura Palmer she was raped by her own father her whole life and coped by using drugs and over-sexualising herself i hate how people romanticise it, can you be normal about a female victim for 5 minutes. I read this the other week and it puts my thoughts perfectly into words (from Laura’s Ghost by Courtenay Stallings)

broadchurch ending always makes me so happy because “I’ll see you tomorrow Miller” and they will!! we are leaving them but their story continues and they will see each other tomorrow and the day after that!! they faced the horrors together and finally got some closure that allows them to think of a tomorrow in a better light!! and he still doesn’t want to go to the fucking pub!!!
