In Juchitan, the city I am focusing on, parties have an important place and the Muxes take care of it. They cook, singand play music, make the decoration and also create costumes and drinks. The streets are filled with colors and feelings. They also have a party dedicated to them: La Vela de las Autenticas Intrepidas Buscadoras del Peligro.

During the first lockdown, I've read the book « Woman » of Yann-Arthus Bertrand and Anastasia Mikova. So I discover the Muxe's existence, these persons who doesn't identificate with the dominant gender codes. They live in Mexico and a lot of them are artists. I realized then that it's their artistic production that I want to study.
