This was the final week, which was mainly focused on finishing the animation and then doing all the other little bits ready to submit. We recorded sound on Monday for both our animation that were voiceovers to support our pieces. These will feature in our final animations and I did the voiceovers, I was very pleased with how they sounded and how they matched the animations. We also got given the logo created by our housemate who is a Graphics student and it fits really nicely into the animations and the project. I am so happy with the final outcome and hopefully all goes well, just got to check everything is ready to submit and then its finished.
This is the final animation that has been altered to the right length. I am super happy with it and this project has had it ups and downs, but I think its been a really interesting project.
This is the final logo from our Graphics friend, I tweaked a few of the colours on the text and the branch, but I think it looks great and it really fits with the style of the project.
Newest version of my animatic as this project has gone through so many changes with the narrative and visually. This was just taken from the colour script, but it allows you to see how it flows from one scene to another.
This week I worked on both projects. I finished off last minute parts of the portfolio and made final alterations and began doing the evaluation side of the project. In terms of the collab project I continued to work on the animation and completed a basic rundown of the animation and how I wanted it to look. I also managed to texture and alter the animation and produce a second rundown to show how I want the finished piece to look, the next stages will be the final alterations and sound.
This week we had a brief meeting with Phil Archer to chat about sounds, we told him about our foley and he gave emma some help with the sounds for her piece. He mainly just showed us a few resources to find sound, which was a nice helpful reminder.
I found that both my meetings with Jon and Helen were super helpful, as the alterations they gave me really pushed my work and I made sure to write lists of their improvements so I could remember them all and tick them off. I’ve found that by writing down my to do lists helps me get my perspective on where I am in the projects.
