Last night I had a dream I woke up to find that my house had been turned into a Smart House with every wall being a digital screen including the roof so I could see it even laying on bed and the Siri voice said “Don’t worry. You are perfectly safe in your Apple Smart Home™️” knowing I have a BIG phobia of intruders especially at night and it continued with “Let’s explore the neighborhood from the comfort of your home” so it opened google maps and accidentally zoomed past a shitty jpeg of the girl from The Ring standing outside my house and it said “ignore that”. woke up laughing

odysseus absolutely does present a threat to penelope if he perceives her as at all unfaithful, and i feel the unfairness of this, and i think people tend to undersell how much tension at least potentially exists between odysseus and penelope. but i'm also like. his reaction, all speculation aside, his actual reaction in the odyssey to her flirting with the suitors is delight, because he immediately ascertains that she is running a con. sorry that they're so in-sync in spite of the forces that try to drive a wedge between them, including their own misgiving hearts. sorry that they invented homophrosyne ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I saw Errol for the first time (or maybe second but I have piss memory I’ll be honest) and I’m in love with that poor cat. He’s in situations and he’d like to not be.

Two questions; is he afraid of birds, or is the Shoebill just that unsettling (true, but they’re so goofy irl I love Shoebills LOL) AND… Where does he feel the most comfortable/at Ease?

I don't talk about Errol enough, to be honest. He is absolutely in situations and very much would like to not be.

Errol isn't afraid of birds, specifically. He's skittish in general, though, and that particular shoebill keeps showing up and making him feel judged, and he jumps every time it happens.

As for when he's most at ease ...

I know it's corny as hell, but Errol feels most at ease when he's with with his wife, Y'sonjha. She's as cheerful as he is gloomy, but her optimism is infectious, and so he finds his pessimism giving way when he's with her. And while he's always had this inexplicable (to him) stubborn streak that pushes him forward even as he's convinced he'll fail, a desire to be able to say he at least tried ... when they're together, he's a lot less certain failure is a given.
