Piggybacking off of another post, what do you think about people shipping the girls together? (both in different pairs and as a throuple)

For most of my time on the project, i actually shipped two of the girls together because there were story pitches (that didn't make the cut) that provided enough "material" to create a world in my head where romance could actually be feasible! But I haven't seen a lot of people talk about it so i'm going to treasure it in my mind for now :D

As a throuple, i don't really care- we already had a threeway fanship in the movie anyway so why gatekeep? If people see a world where it works out, then have at it! Imo there's enough in the sandbox to work with so many different ships, i wouldn't be surprised if there was one where Zoey is on a mission to make the other 4 saja boys her pets, not just Mystery.

On that note, you can absolutely ignore canon and make your own AU. In fact, if you're scrolling rn and being actively upset about the hetero-ness of a PG movie that was primarily marketed to kids in multiple countries were heteronormativity is still A Thing, why not just use that energy to give life to the fanons you wanna see? Not only is no one stopping you, but stressing out about hetero couples when you can make the gayest ships you want is such a waste of energy, y'know? I absolutely thrive off the energy of fans (of ANY work) going "okay yes, i see what y'all did, BUT LETS EXPLORE THIS VERSION NOW". the world and economy is pretty ass rn so let's spend it making the shit we like (cuz I'm swimming in that thought rn, so hop in with me cuz the water's GREAT).
