#RehabiliTae on Taehyung’s 5-Day Birthday Flash Fundraiser by Rescuing Wild Animals That Are Victims of Illegal Trafficking In Bolivia

Together, let’s provide veterinary care, shelter, and love to wild animals in Bolivia!

ARMY expressed interest to support an organization working for animal welfare & services. With this, One In An ARMY invites you to #RehabiliTae this December by supporting Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi, an organization caring for wild animals that experienced trafficking.

About Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi

Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY) is a non-governmental organization from Bolivia that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of wildlife that has fallen victim to illegal trafficking and other harm. As Bolivia’s leading animal rights organization, CIWY works to combat the illegal wildlife trade and the destruction of the environment and collaborates with the Bolivian government to enforce the law, seize and rescue animals from poachers and merchants, as well as zoos when conditions do not meet legal requirements.

CIWY also rehabilitates wild animals that were injured by fires or other disasters. The organization operates three wildlife sanctuaries distributed throughout Bolivia: Machía, Ambue Ari, and Jacj Cuisi. CIWY’s sanctuaries are managed by a team of professionals and volunteers from around the world. The organization’s name shows Bolivia’s ethnic diversity and its link with nature by using words from the indigenous languages of the three main ethnic Bolivian groups. “Inti” means “sun” in Quechua, “Wara” means “star” in Aymara, and “Yassi” means “moon” in Chiriguano-Guaraní. Putting these languages together symbolize unity.

Life is not what I had hoped it to be so I'm just trying my best to be happy and not worry about what others are doing.

I do worry that some people might say that I'm complacent and just running away. I hope that in due time, things will finally fall into place.

In the meantime, I'm making the best of the present time and living it to the fullest I can.

Just so much and also nothing at the same time. It's such an odd space to be in.

No one tells you that eventually the energy fades and no matter how hard you try to overcome it, you're just too tired and drained to. Maybe I was running on borrow energy before and now it has finally caught up with me.

I miss the old me sometimes. That person is someone else entirely. I miss her energy and willpower.

Minor Setbacks

Yesterday, I tried to get back into yoga but my kitten kept attacking my hands and biting my arms. Attempt 1, failed.

2020 Resolution #1: Find my routine for the year.

Getting back into a productive routine of some sort.

Really thinking about goals for this year and put myself in a position to be more creative and grow.

2018 was the year I let everything go and find comfort.

2019 was the year I slowly reevaluated what was important to me and act on it.

2020 is the year I see growth again.

Goodbye Another One

It's been a while since I've reflected on my year on here. Mostly cause for the past 3 years I've been running from myself. I didn't want to face all the things that were not right about my life and desperately trying to ignore while trying my best to look forward and learn to love myself.

This year was definitely the hardest cause everything caught up to me as I tried to face everything for once. A whole part of me was spiralling downwards while the other part was holding on to dear life and continuing to adult. It's been so exhausting to bare these contrasting emotions on a daily basis. So overwhelming that I've had a few times where I was just numb completely.

I'm trying so hard to find my way and to stay afloat. And I know I'm strong. I will continue to endure and slowly I know I'll find a place to stand. Hopefully when that time comes I will truly feel strong instead of struggling. Even faking it til you make it takes endurance.

I hope with this post I leave behind my moments of weakness and find more strength going into the new year. 2019, hi.
