Choosing my “Profession”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am a 2nd Year College now, and I chose Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation at DMMA College of Southern Philippines.
Before I choose BSMT as my profession, I had other choices too. So I think it not just twice or thrice but many times. So I came up with BSMT because this is what I really want. My willingness on taking risks is something soon I couldn't regret. And now, so much appreciation to my course because this it. I am on my way to becoming a seafarer. I am one step closer and praying that I will pass and celebrate my success in this profession.
Choosing your profession will give you dilemmas. It is really hard to choose. But given to you talent and passion will slightly give you an idea and scale it. Whatever your heart wants to go because the willingness to take risks in choosing it will give you the impossible to possible.
Why did I choose this profession?
Why did I choose Marine Transportation? I chose this course because I want to be captain of the ship someday. I want to travel around the world while earning big money. I did choose this because this is my dream and my choice. I pursued to take this course because I saw myself ten years from now that I am sailing in a vast ocean, holding the telescope, and navigating the world. Becoming a professional in this profession is really my dream, and I will give my best of my best to fulfill it. I will strive harder in my profession to achieve it because there is no easy way for achieving it, we need to give out very best and efforts to make it.
I always believe in Carol Burnett's quote that "When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go.” This makes me motivational and gets inspiration to strive harder because you need to try and try. Don't be afraid to make a failure because failure is part of your success. In every failure, you can learn something and make that failure to be a success someday.
Below, I give you some background, nature, salary and some details about this kind of profession. I hope it gives you some idea or maybe interest about it. Without saying so, here is what you need to know about seafarers.
