i love reading the “where i noticed [insert god]’s presence today” posts, they always make me smile, they’re a testament that the gods are always with us, even -or maybe especially- in the little things

today I used the phrase "breasting boobily" in casual real life conversation and everyone was shocked asking how I came up with that and I had to explain it. ive been at the devil's sacrament so long that I forgot he wasn't god

Because Catholicism and by extension Christianity are so big and normal I don't think a lot of people consider how strange the Vatican is just conceptually. Like yeah in the capital of a long-dead empire there's an opulent temple district that acts as it's own sovereign nation, still speaking the dead language of that empire for their rituals, ruled by a prophet-king chosen by a secret conclave of the high priesthood. Yeah his followers eat a lot of fish in the spring.

I call to the Ancestors, seen and unseen— To those of my blood, my spirit, and my path. To the ones who shaped this world before me, Walking in wisdom, justice, and love.

I honor the bold, the healers, the seekers— Those who protected, who taught, who mended, Who walked with truth and kindness in their time, Their voices still echoing through the ages.

May your wisdom light my way. May your strength uphold me. May your love live on in my heart, my thoughts, my deeds.

Yet I turn from those who wrought harm— Who chose cruelty when compassion was an option, Who upheld injustice instead of standing for what was right. Their influence has no place here, Their voices do not shape my path.

what i'm begging people to understand is that a huge portion of evangelical/christians in usamerica do not genuinely and earnestly believe in their holy texts or core doctrines. for them, religion is a means to uphold white supremacy and patriarchy and they've convinced themselves it's their divine prerogative. that is what they believe. you can plead with them to "be christlike" or point out their hypocrisy until the second coming. they do not care. you can't reason with them because they are not interested in piety or morality they are interested in power and control
