"I knew you'd ruin something, Cass-"
"I told you not to call me that anymore!"
The two girls were bickering across the table, leaving the boys to stare wide-eyed as they debated interfering.
Thomas decided to cut in before things got out of hand. "It was an honest mistake, she didn't mean to, love." His accent was prominent, as always.
Kellie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You'll never understand it, you're so privelaged! You've never worked a day in your life. I bet when you spill things you have a butler clean them for you!"
She was right.. Thomas looked off, unsure of how to respond. He scooted a bit closer to Eric for comfort, who still had no idea what to do.
"Kellie.. Maybe you should have some tea, find a babysitter, please. You're so tense," Thomas reattempted. "Take some deep breaths dear, in and out. Copy my breathing."
Kellie focused in on his voice, trying to copy his breathing and eventually calming down enough to think straight. "Sorry, I'm stressed."
"Clearly-"
"Cassandra oh my God-"
"Ladies, please-" Eric finally cut in. "I just wanted to have a sauce party. I even got relish and barbecue-"
"Now look what you've done, you've upset Eric!"
"You've upset me!"
Thomas sighed, slurped some ketchup, and stood gracefully. "I'm gonna go check on Kellie's kids, seeing as Kellie is clearly too distraught to do so, and this party was supposed to have ended nearly an hour ago." He left just like that.
Now Eric was alone in his struggle to contain the two women of the table, neither of whom were usually like this. But this was especially abnormal for Kellie.
