She went to the past-present to ensure that she will be born and prevent Bby Boy Halbrand go full Shane errr Big Bad Sauron. While on this mission, she needs to hide her identity to all except Galadriel, who is a bit shocked to know that she needs to make THE MOVE to ensure #halfmaia #Celebrian is born. To stir the pot and for a lil bit of #Celrond, she needs to hide her obvious chemistry with Elrond who is her husband in the future.

Sauron/Halbrand is an actor who plays a famous villain and has a sort of bad reputation by association, but is actually a decent - and even a bit dorky - guy. Galadriel is a high-powered career woman who secretly writes kinky fanfic about his characters. Someone alerts him to the existence of this fanfiction. He starts reading her stories and commenting anonymously. She starts to suspect it's him. He really wants to find out the real identity of this woman, because her fiction is so....educational and opens his eyes to new possibilities.

Multiple layers of hidden identity and pursuing each other trying to figure out whether their suspicions are correct.

set up might work better if Galadriel is a well known entertainment reporter or something, and Sauron has been tainted by association with a director who has recently been revealed to have done bad things/have really bad politics, making Sauron complicit by association even though he wasn't actively part of the problem. (Or maybe he was, to some degree?) Regardless, Galadriel really dislikes him on principle and keeps writing negative things about him in the press, but cannot get over a particular fanfiction ship in which his character is one of the parties, and on the side keeps writing her fanfic while denying any sort of attraction to the actual actor. That way there's an excuse for them to actually be in the same place in real life - awards ceremonies and interviews and stuff.

Haladriel x Sherlock AU

Dr. Galadriel Watson, veteran army officer, returns to London from Afghanistan. Through a mutual connection, she becomes flatmates with Halbrand Holmes, consulting detective.

Ensue a montage of flat sharing clashes. Galadriel thinks he’s a neat-freak with clients / police dropping in at all hours. To Halbrand, she’s a human tornado. Plus, her alleged ex-boyfriend, Cel, hangs out too much for his liking.

But it’s not long before Galadriel is pulled into Halbrand's work of solving mysteries, finding it as exhilarating as he does. Together, they make a great team. And maybe more.

Everyone thinks they’re a couple. Halbrand never corrects them. But Galadriel does. Still, she can’t deny being drawn to this arrogant but brilliant man. And tensions between doctors and detective grows, though Halbrand still seems a mystery to her.
