INKEKO // Logotype Design
For my little Etsy shop selling hand drawn cards on recycled cardstock, INKEKO, I developed a little logo mark to stamp on the back of each card. A very simple but sweet little logo, the end result matches the identity of the shop.
Focussing on the “ink” within the shop name, I used a black droplet shape to create the main logo, and then used negative space for the type. Separated onto two levels, the split in the shop’s name points out the different elements of the shop: ink and eko (or eco)

Branding // RocketBrain Ltd.
Working as a freelance Graphic Designer, I have had some amazing opportunities to work with a wide variety of brands and companies, spanning numerous industries.
One of my favourite projects I have worked on, was the branding for a Satellite Control and Psychiatry Consultancy. Taking a fun approach to two usually very serious professions, the branding I designed was created to match the playful nature of the consultancy’s name: RocketBrain.

MADE Jewellery // Ella Grace Collection Swingtags
I designed these swing tags for instagram influencer Ella Grace Denton’s jewellery collections with MADE.
The rose coloured tags were created for Ella’s first collection with MADE, “Fierce Delicacy”. Alongside her mantra “I am not afraid to take up space”, the whole collection focussed on feminine empowerment.
Ella’s second collection “Cycles”, was inspired by the natural phases of the moon, and so we looked to wintry and nature inspired hues for the collection

Freelance // Map Illustrations
Starting from a quick map sketch for a close friend’s party invite, I offer an illustrative service on the freelance platform Fiverr, in which I draw and customise maps for people’s events, websites, invitations and publications.
The image here shows an illustrated map of Rhode Island, for a client’s wedding invitation.

INKEKO // Illustration & Card Design
New designs for 2018 are up on my Etsy shop! This year I’ve decided to work on my charitable selection of greetings cards, by donating some of the profits to WWF, on cards displaying endangered species of animals and plants.

MADE Jewellery // Internship
Working with ethical and sustainable jewellery company Made, I have had involvement and influence across a wide variety of departments. Working primarily on their image (creating marketing collateral for email and web, generating product catalogues and imagery) much of my responsibilities focus on telling the story of Made in a concise, digestible, and of course beautiful way. I learned about eco-friendly materials, and the struggle of sustainability in the very unsustainable fashion industry. Working with artisans half way across the world, whilst communicating with large retail companies in the UK, I have had involvement in and understood a fast paced and highly competitive environment.
The first image shows some of the marketing and brand work I did with Made, including the development of 3 storytelling icons, created in order to communicate the brand ID and ethical story to their wholesale and retail clients.
The second shows an example of the product photography I have carried out throughout my time with MADE, and the third is a gif I created for one of our collaborative collections, with sustainable influencer Ella Grace.
Atop this, I also designer a number of new jewellery styles, which are currently in the sample production stages, and are due to be launched for Spring/Summer 2018

Terraform London // Creating a Digital Space
Whilst I was developing Terraform London, it became clear very quickly that there was a need for a universally accessible and easily digestible platform, by which to explain the concept, share ideas and events, download campaign material and see campaign content and media. Naturally, therefore, I developed a website : www.terraformlondon.com
The platform enabled content to be up and downloaded, and for the message of Terraform London to be spread and shared

Goldsmiths Degree Show // Hyphen Catalogue
In the lead up to our graduating show for Goldsmiths Design 2017, we decided to generate a catalogue to beautifully showcase and explain the 108 projects to be exhibited.
We decided on using a brightly coloured, attractive and interactive print layout, which elevated each project into an individual pull-out poster. This layout also allowed our show’s identity [Hyphen] to be communicated throughout the publication - joining two random projects together, to create or inspire a brand new methodology or project.
The overall piece was truly a souvenir of the incredible show that our year managed to put together. It showcased each and every project in a beautiful way, and demonstrated the versatility and multidisciplinary nature of the Goldsmiths Design course.

Terraform London // DIY Instructions
Additionally within the project “TerraformLondon”, instructional graphic design was required to create how-to DIY sheets, used to encourage users to engage directly with the campaign.
Borrowing ideas from the classic IKEA instructions, I generated a clean and easy to understand set of sheets which explained how users could make their  own DIY spacesuits and terraforming-props, therefore encouraging them to engage with the sustainable campaign more viscerally.

Third Year Project // Productive Outcome Fanning - Terraform London
From talking about the latest Game of Thrones episode over lunch, to attending conventions across the world, the majority of us interact with stories with greater enthusiasm than real life issues. But what if we could change this? What if we could redirect this intrigue and consumption of stories and fiction, and channel it into engagement with unattractive real life narratives.
POFING and Terraform London introduce the bridging of Fandom, with avoided and unpopular issues. From doing the dishes to tackling Climate Change, this project considers a new way of creatively addressing problems.

Dissertation // Narrating a New Environment
A discussion of design’s place on climate change, and how we can use stories to engage in these important conversations.
Marking 40% of my final year at Goldsmiths, is my designed dissertation. It discusses and questions the problem of engagement (or lack of) with climate change, and how the designer might play a role in changing the current situation. Through the exploration of psychological theories of engagement, existing environmental design work, narratives, fan-behaviour and my own work, it asks how we can change our lethargy through something which does excite us - stories.
Hand bound using eco-friendly embroidery thread, the book is printed and french folded on pre-used sheets of paper, collected from the Goldsmiths campus and from environmental design agencies across London.

Internship // Thomas.Matthews
During my month long internship with sustainable, London based communications agency Thomas.Matthews, I was given a number of responsibilities: infographic design, branding design, model making, presentations, project research
Creating a number of infographics for the company and their clients allowed me to gain a strong understanding of environmental and sustainable issues within the design industry - such as the circular economy, and end of product life. Not only was the experience extremely educating in terms of sustainability, but I was allowed to experiment and improve on my practical skills with the Adobe suite.
