she’s not surprised that his pack doesn’t trust her. claire would feel the same way if the roles were reversed. “you act like you’re the only one putting their life on the line. you could just as easily turn on me. plus, if i wanted to go after an alpha werewolf, i certainly wouldn’t do it by teaming up with them first.” she shrugged her shoulders, “generally i like to take my enemies by surprise.” chris seems like he’s in this to protect his pack and if that’s what gets the job done, it’s fine by her. “can we just focus on killing the vampires and do the trust exercises later?” 

❛ you’re right. ❜ it is a two way street, after all. he’s often so blinded by the desire and need to protect those in his pack that he often doesn’t see things from a different perspective. there’s a hesitation to offer the benefit of the doubt, but nonetheless it seems to be given time and time again. they’re haven’t tried to kill each other thus far, and he should find some trust in that at least. ❛ if this is a team up - who gets to be batman? ❜ arching a brow, the alpha is half tempted to encourage her to try and take him by surprise. it could be fun. still, he remains quiet on the matter. ❛ let’s go kill some fuckin’ vamps. ❜

WHY DO YOU HURT ?

RESULTS : you’re choking on how much you have to try.

you have tried. you have carried the weight of the world on your shoulders and accepted more responsibilities than you have ever wanted, even intended to gain. it isn’t crushing - you are strong enough to hold it - but you are choking. you don’t know what to do with it. you don’t know where it goes, how to move this weight everyone knows you can hold onto, and do you even want to get rid of it? never. you would not give this to - force this on - anyone else. but you can’t. but you are choking on it. your body will hold it up even when you lose all the air in your lungs, and your footing, and your courage. it does not mind choking you. it seems almost designed to do so. if you weren’t wrung out you wouldn’t be doing this thing properly.
