Who Wants to Live In Spain for a Year?

As some of you may know, I not only travel abroad often but I have lived in several countries as well (Rome, Italy. Paris, France, and currently on my second stint living in Madrid, Spain). It’s relatively easy but getting set up (job, apartment, visa, etc) is a process and I’ve been thinking of offering this as a service to anyone interested: Helping you snag a job as a language assistant (which is what I’m doing), guiding you through the entire Visa process, and finally getting you set up in an apartment with roommates.
You would be living in Spain for 1 year working 16 hrs a week. During your free time, you’d be enjoying tapas and wine, going on weekend trips to places like Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam on the cheap (I mean €30 for a flight cheap), and honestly having the experience of a lifetime. I’ve been doing it for 5 years and won’t ever look back; I can’t properly articulate how amazing this has been and I wish more people knew how it’s all very much possible and attainable. It doesn’t have to be a dream.
So, would anyone be interested in this service? I would have to start it immediately to secure your job and start on the Visa application. If there’s enough interested people I’ll make a follow-up post detailing pricing and the entire process. I can be messaged here or via email at [email protected]
Thanks for any feedback and happy travels!
xx Christina
P.S: GUYS. The name of the program is the Auxiliary de Conversacion (website is in Spanish). It’s not a scam or some hidden network of human traffickers, though I understand the concern. You can find dozens of Facebook groups for auxilaries living in Spain, and MANY blogs, just google “Auxiliary de conversacion”. The program is free to apply for, and the deadline is in April, you can do it yourself. It’s an incredible opportunity that allows native English speakers to live and work in Spain.
Because the application is legitamently confusing, the visa process is lengthy and doesn’t allow for mistakes, and finding an apartment in Spain (especially Madrid) is one of the most DIFFICULT things I’ve had to do, I’ve offered to do all of this as a service for people who want to live here but don’t want to do every step by themselves. I noticed how much potential aux’s struggle with the application and especially Visa documents, and struggle even more with finding a place, getting a phone contract, getting their monthly metro card, and so many other practical things you don’t consider when you have your rose-colored glasses on.
I am a real person and I’ve had this blog for about 6 years now. I’ve never advertised any of my personal social media accounts because this blog has only ever been about travel inspiration FOR MYSELF, and if others follow and like it, so be it. I’m very private, but to put a face the name you can all find me on Instagram and Snapchat under “XtinaChrist”. My SC is literally just videos of me & friends clubbing (sorry) and my IG is a mix of selfies and some of my travel photos.
Thanks again!
