I think its really interesting to see the difference between Marvel creators’ descriptions of steve’s relationships with Bucky and Peggy respectively. His devotion to Bucky throughout the Captain America trilogy is reduced to a desperate attempt to hang on to the last remnant of his past, which, I think is unfair considering Steve’s first ‘screw everything else’ rampage to save Bucky goes back to World War, when he was very much, a 'man in his own time. Why, then, is Steve literally going back in time to be with Peggy seen as 'true love’ and him 'getting rest’(which he could have had in the future too) and not what it is, an unhealthy and desperate attempt to hang on to his past?(which he seems to have moved on from in his previous movies) I’m a little confused by the double standards to be honest
