Safety tips for chopping wood with a chainsaw
Tumblr media
Keep others away from where you will be working because safety should always come first!
Make sure your chainsaw is in a stable position.
Make sure your clothes and shoes are appropriate for the task at hand! Wear work gloves as well.
Make sure to keep your chainsaw running smoothly and that the blades are sharp. The best way is with a file every time you use the chainsaw.
Always keep an eye out when operating machinery for anything from falling logs (or chunks) from trees above all the way down to rocks rolling onto the ground underneath. You don’t want accidents while splitting wood with a chainsaw!
Remember to keep your chainsaw oiled up before, during, and after work!
Keep the chainsaw’s engine oil capacity at an appropriate level too!
If safety cutouts are in place on your saw (meaning they’ll shut down when too much pressure is put upon them), use them as often as possible!

Main Aspects Of Chainsaw Bar Maintenance
Every master knows that a chainsaw needs to be serviced at least once every two months.
Check if the rails in the spout area are damaged.
We also check the rails for chips and damage.
The rails should also be inspected at the heel. It is also recommended to turn the handlebar to see its profile at the heel. You will know that the bar has worn out if you notice the narrow tail of the bar. you may need a new rod soon.
Now you should check the depth of the groove of the rod. If the heel of the rod is sufficiently worn, the rails will be shallow. Sometimes the groove becomes so shallow that you can easily see where the chain drive links have rubbed against the bottom of the groove. If this happens, you do not need further inspection, as you can already indicate that the bar is worn out and needs to be replaced;
If you still haven't found any wear, try checking the inner guides.
It's hard to see. But there is a method by which you can assess the degree of wear of the rod. With the chain on the bar, hold the chainsaw so that the straight edge is against the body of the bar as well as the cutter tooth side plate. When the rails are in order, they will hold the chain straight with a slight gap between the straight edge and the body of the bar. But if the groove wears out, the chain will bend. With a strong inclination, there is no gap between the body of the neck and the straight edge. Therefore, it can be understood that the internal rails are already worn out and the chainsaw needs to be replaced. Who Makes Craftsman Chainsaws
Tumblr media
Do-it-yourself saws are made by the American company Sears. We are talking about Craftsman chainsaws, founded on May 20, 1927, in the USA.
Initially, the Master made files, hammers, axes, and other hand tools. They all had excellent quality. The company is quite confident in them which is why it provides a lifetime warranty on all the tools. This rule has been followed for over 80 years.
Isn`t it a miracle when you do not have to keep the receipts for the purchases of the tools and you can just bring a broken tool and it will be repaired without any questions asked?
Currently, Craftsman manufactures car washes, snow blowers, chainsaws, shredders, garden tractors, walk-behind tractors, trimmers, cultivators, blowers, and multifunctional garden vacuum cleaners. All the materials they use to build the chainsaws undergo very strict control. Tests are carried out under enhanced conditions. You can be confident regards to the quality of the tool. The Craftsman brand has been on the market since the beginning of the last century. Since then, it is known as the most reliable manufacturer of equipment.
There is no doubt about this.

Changing the oil in the chain saw
Tumblr media
To increase the life of your chainsaw, you need not only to know how to properly operate the tool, but also to be able to prepare the fuel mixture. Since the chainsaw does not have an oil pan in a two-stroke engine, the oil must be added to the oil. Otherwise, the friction force will increase, which means that the parts of the chainsaw will wear out quickly, the load will increase and there will be a significant loss of power and performance. If you fill in gasoline with a low oil composition, this will contribute to the development of such consequences - engine overheating, scuffing on the cylinder and jamming of the internal combustion engine. If you fill in a large amount of oil, then there will be carbon deposits on the cylinder walls, muffler and other parts. To find out the correct ratio of oil to gasoline, you need to look in the instructions for your car. The manufacturer specifies these important data for each unit separately. But if you don't already have an instruction, you should use generic data. It all depends on the time of year. If you work in summer, then 20 ml of oil is added to 1 liter of gasoline, and if in winter - 25 ml. In any case, you can find out detailed information about the types of oil, its features, read detailed instructions on how to properly pour a mixture of gasoline and oil into a chainsaw, here https://sawcentre.org/chainsaw-bar-oil - change/
