LN readers, we need to talk about Lakan and Lahan's relationship here. I think we all know how Lakan and Lahan is, on their own, in the later novels. Im talking about LN 6 onwards. If you're a light novel reader and you look back to this exact episode, you can definitely say this is a one of a kind interaction between Lakan and Lahan. In the LN, we rarely see Lakan act like this. Usually, when we have Lakan and Lahan together on a scene, it's Lahan taking charge in a social setting, often guiding Lakan how it should be (murder scene in Lakan's office and named clan meeting). Lahan also gives you the idea that he respects Lakan's brilliance BUT he is mostly aware of his shortcomings. I've always took their relationship as Lahan doing more of the "social" parenting and work bc Lakan couldnt be bothered (greetings officials, handling finances, managing the household staff etc) But in this episode, we see Lakan act as the head of the clan. We see Lahan get scolded. We see him flinch or get worried bc he got caught or that his adopted father's ire was directed temporarily to him. I think this is an interesting scene tbh. I love how we can see that an angry Lakan is a scary Lakan to the point that even his adopted son (who usually takes charge) gets worried.

I just realized. If it still wasn’t clear for *gestures* everyone who works with Jinshi and Maomao (outside of the usual 2nd characters)** that these two clowns are “together” together way back in LN 10 and 11, then LN 14 Hunt episode should have made it clear.

🐸Jinshi trying to stop/grappling with Maomao while she tries to run in a burning building. Can you imagine seeing THE Moon Prince trying to tackle a sopping wet lady with snot dripping from her nose as she tries to do something idiotic, and not think “oh they’re an item”?

**Characters Im referring to would be the usual nameless eunuch guards under Jinshi, Tianyu, and other doctors who works with Maomao.

I know we’re used to Maomoa’s POV and how she thinks their relationship is still a secret, but this girl is only fooling herself. I bet what started as a rumour is now an open secret anyone can confirm once they see these two together.

sometimes, i'd like to think that Luomen is quite lucky bc he's the father of this cutiepatootie then i remember, this cutie is also a gremlin and has probably caused Luomen so many sleepless nights and had him resort to burning precious medical books (he did it so she wouldnt read them)

My favorite part about KNH is that, it's not afraid to make this extremely gorgeous specimen (and HE IS GORGEOUS in canon, not just bc fans think he is) look absolutely pathetic and act like a loser when he needs to be.

Currently around volume 5 of Dahlia in Bloom and I gotta say, I’m a litttttle bit bored.

It’s starting to feel formulaic now. Dahlia will create a new item bc she’s worried about Volf, it will become a hit, then the whole squad plus other people will fawn over her to the point they are one step away from turning her into a saint.

Then there is Dahlia’s interaction with the other nobles/businessmen. She would make a faux pas (unintentionally) and then they would chide her gently. She would then share that she did such thing bc she’s worried, or it just slipped out, so it’s all good. We forgive Dahlia.

I know Dahlia’s low self esteem is a thing and her kindness has been noted multiple times, but it’s getting pretty boring bc Dahlia just seems….perfect. Even her so called weaknesses and faults are there to help her be…perfect. And that’s what makes it boring for me.

I enjoy the tool making parts and I love reading about her relationship with Volf, but at this point (LN 5), the other characters are starting to get MORE interesting than Dahlia herself.

Stop. Full stop. Don’t claim you support the ship when it’s been made perfectly clear by the characters that being on the throne/ being involved in politics is the LAST thing they want to do.

15 fucking volumes of Jinshi actively trying to step down as a royal.

15 fucking volumes of Maomao actively trying to limit her involvement in the said politics.

15 fucking volumes showing multiple characters with their dreams and freedom being curtailed bc of the politics. Have we learned nothing from Anshi? From Ah Duo? From Loulan? Even from Gyokuyou?

You want the character you’re claiming to support and love do something he is so against with? Bullshit. You are just another antagonist in his life 🤷‍♀️

I love the KNH/TAD community bc in one hand, you have anime onlys watching season 2's second ending song saying "oh wow I love Maomao having friends" and then you have LN readers crying and screaming bc of Maomao's friends.
