"what would do without me, jerebear?" she pokes the tip of his nose with her finger. "also you're not paying me back. you've bought me so much food before." her eyes linger on him a bit too long, before she's immediately shifting focus to her phone for a moment.

"what are your plans today now that i got you up bright and early? if you're not busy i was thinking maybe we can hit up the comic shop and do some other shit?"

"Oh! No, that's totally fine," he commented, looking over at Saylor with a big smile on his face. "Thank God at least one of us is thinking everything correctly through." He looks at her phone and tries to look beyond it with a grin.

"It's fine, seriously. Thank you for French Toast. Let me know how I can pay you back."

"i thought you would want french toast? it's your favorite. so i got some food from a diner. but i'm sure i can cancel it if you really want..." she trails off, reaching to grab her phone to open up doordash. "oh darn, too late. it's already been picked up. if you want i can also order mcdonalds though."

" thank you, it's the least you could do," he jokes, winking at her as he listens to her. ouch. he refuses to comment on that. jeremy briefly wonders if saylor even realizes that he still has feelings for her.

he really wished he didn't.

"Tell me you got us McDonalds," he commented, completely changing the topic. "We all know McDonalds Breakfast is top tier."

saylor can't help but laugh as jeremy seeks out his character's ass in the comic and she rolls her eyes. "i'll make sure to give you the best ass in the world, don't worry. unfortunately i can't help the real thing, but at least i have enough ass for both of us."

"oh shut the fuck up with your 'i only have a smooth voice.' bullshit." she shoves him a bit, her voice trying it's best to mimic his but failing epically. "people love guys with sexy voices way better than they love nerdy women who draw superheroes."

"I dunno..." he moves to flip to a page that shows his ass and then gestures to his own body. "I feel like I don't have America's Ass- and that' just on me. Well, actually, I feel like it's my mom and dad's fault I don't have an ass," he teases, only to watch as Saylor picks up a different comic, and he just reads it over again.

"I'm excited to read it. I'm excited to read anything you write, honestly. I wish I was even 5% as creative as you are. I just have a smooth voice and am interested in radio science and broadcasting. Far too lame."

her eyes scan up to him as she watches him continue to flip through the comics and make comments about the powers. "so true. you make people's brains explode just by screaming at them. that's all i could ever ask for in a superhero. plus, you're just hot. captain america, who?" a laugh escapes her lips as she reaches down on the floor to grab her bag with the rest of the comics she's done over time. or at least a few.

"probably this one." she points to the comic which she worked on before the most recent. "some asshole who turned evil because he fucked up his whole life because of a stupid decision. powers? manipulation of the mind causing people to fight amongst each other. it'll be the hardest villain yet and is going to need a crazy team up to beat."

He's delighted at the thought of food. He hopes she gets him french toast. He's a bit sucked into the comic and doesn't really find this awkward, and for that he's fortunate. He doesn't want Saylor to ever realize that he's still very much in love with her. Jeremy knows better now. Knows not to bring it up.

He'll get over it eventually. He'd been trying a few dating apps anyhow.

"His powers would genuinely be so fucking helpful in the real world too. I wish comics were real," he jokes, putting the comic down and then moving so he could look at her. "Any ideas for the next supervillan?"

okay, so fun story. i probably need to be better about this but i have this thing where i get so far in the zone i forget to sleep. definitely not something i do on purpose... just happens.

i was finishing the comic i was working on of your brother! it's sooooo worth it because it's my fuckin' dream work. i need it published stat.

nodding her head, she grabs her phone and places the order for some breakfast and coffees. she settles back, leaning against him now as he continues to flip through the comic. "i think it's some of my best work, honestly."

"you're a great muse, yeah? how could i not make my favorite person in the whole world the biggest fucking badass that saves the world every day?" it was hard to really keep the separation of her feelings out of their conversations. especially when he asked her out and she rejected him. but after all the shit with her dad, weren't all men just really the same? "i'm going to get started on the next edition soon."

he hates how much he likes her, sometimes. it feel suffocating and wrong especially with her already rejecting him. but the way she dictates him in her comics is infectious and he loves it so much.

she makes him far too cool.

"what? and not be able to have morning cuddles? rude. let's just order something. I'm feeling lazy, anyhow. and I want to keep reading this amazing comic that I was given," he jokes, holding it up to her. "The writer and artist is fantastic. Absolutely amazing!"
