Scale Master
Hello, In this blog post I will teach you how to use the Scale Master in zbrush
Sometimes when a model is too small and needs to be scaled it can be a hassle to do in zbrush, its hard to get an accurate size unless you take it into Maya
With the Scale Master in Zbrush it makes it easier to get at least a close size to what you need. It measures in real world units making it easier to light you're model with real world type of lighting.Â
First you want to locate the Scale Master underneath Zplugin>Scale MasterÂ
Should look like this.
Once you find it click the set scene scale button, it will bring up a pop up menu to choose the preferred measurements for the model. like this:
Select the one you want and you're half way done! Then all you do it adjust the sliders that were created based of the measurements you chose.Â
You may noticed the models size didn't change, that is because you would have to click the resize subtotal button first and then boom it will resize automatically.
Be carful not to change the sliders separately or else you could screw up your model.Â
I hope this helped modelers out there! I had the same problem and ,like most people, wanted an easy solution! I do recommend knowing how to do it the old fashion way though, you never want to put all your eggs in one basket.Â
