POETRY: Reflection
Writing is like an extension of the soul, it makes you see things with your eyes closed, travel the world with just a blink of an eye. Writing is an unfathomable cosmos, infinite, unending, open to changes, and flexible. It does not conform with anything, it is free, it is not bounded by rules, but bounded by how far your imagination can get.
Things weren't the same after the end of this activity. It was as if I was transformed into something else, a better version of myself. I realized a lot of things upon writing the poems and different pieces. It molded me into a better person, showed me wisdom that is well beyond my years. From time to time, I look back to the past, read my works again and I have seen the gradual improvement, not only in my writing but in my character as a whole. I have gained empathy, putting myself on another's shoes, not feeling for them but feeling with them.
I am indeed fond of writing, such as poetry, prose, and many more. But at this point in my life where I have faced certain things that changed my perspective, opened my eyes to see the bigger picture. In the end, it gave me a fresh start, like a reboot of my system. It made me wiser, smarter, and I have grown more sensitive to the things around me.
