“Things have been fine, I guess.. But shit’s gotten harder around here for whatever reason..” Charlie shrugged, and for a moment, Louise looked as if they might’ve stopped him from talking about.. Well, whatever he might be about to say, but they seemed to decide against it.

“Doesn’t help that winter’s hit pretty hard.” They remarked. “You can’t leave the house like you did in the summer.”

“Yeah, and I’m going stir crazy..” Charlie groaned, sighing. “It’s the curse of being sensitive to cold weather. I’m like a warm weather plant, put me in the middle of the snow, and I can’t take it.” Louise smiled, laughing a bit.

“You’re a cactus, if anything.” Turning all attention back to Kougyoku, Charlie tried to offer her a smile, shrugging again as he ignored Louise’s ‘cactus’ comment.

“How’ve you been though? Seems like you’ve been pretty busy.” He acknowledged, his tail swaying behind him a bit as he watched her. “You okay?”

The ruby haired female blinked a few times, seeing Louise and smiled warmly before her cheeks tinted to a soft pink hue. Shifting a bit, she couldn’t believe Louise would assume that they had that type of relationship. Even if Kougyoku secretly wished it for it to be true. A soft, tired laugh escaped from her when Charlie had nudge the other away from the door. He looked a bit embarrassed, it was a bit endearing to see, “Sure, thank you.”

Stepping around Charlie for a moment, she looked at the both of them, “Sorry that I haven’t been around. How have you two been?”

Her sakura hues racked over the both of them briefly. They looked fine. Better then her for the most part. She knew that she probably looked tired and worn out but she did miss the two dearly. If anything, she could say that these two were her best friends here.

It had been a while since Kougyoku had been around, having been kept busy at new job. Exhausted, she decided to muster up some energy to get see her scaly friend. She had wondered what he had been up to of lately. Easily spotting the house, the girl let out a huge yawn and her hand covered it, tears forming at the corner of her eyes a bit. She hoped Charlie was home. {hi friend =3}

(sorry this took me forever, and also for the sake of the following humor, I’m going to assume she already knocked.)

From behind the door, sounds could be heard. A lot of shuffling, a couple loud thumps, and then.. Of course.. The following conversation ensued.

“Get the door!” Charlie, of course, from somewhere within the house.

“You get the door! You’re closer to it!”

“I am not! Louise, get the door! I’m busy!”

“Why don’t you get the door for once?! It’s good for you!”

“DAMN IT, LOUISE, GET THE FUCKING DOOR! I’M BURIED FOR FUCK’S SAKE!!” Finally, after a series of footsteps and some muffled grumbling, Louise appeared as the door opened, and their sour expression brightened to see Kougyoku at the door.

“Hey, long time no see. Charlie’s around here somewhere, if you want to come in.” They turned back to look over their shoulder, calling into the house. “Hey, Charlie! Told you you should’ve answered the door! Your girlfriend’s back!” A crashing sound, and quick, thumping footsteps..

And there was Charlie. Quickly, he gave Louise a brief shove and a nudge, urging them away.

“She’s not my girlfriend, and you know it.” He hissed, before turning back to Kougyoku, offering a somewhat embarrassed smile.

“Uh.. Hey. You.. wanna come inside?”
