Checkin In // Geott
Summary: Post Collette blow up G & S prove how good their friendship really is and G admits she is going against her family and their beliefs!
tw: none!
“It’s not that I don’t trust you, darling, but I’m only accepting being put on Gea’s books,” Scott insisted to the girl at the front of Hello Gorgeous. “It’s nothing personal, honest, but I would like my TLC to be done by my BFF, y’know?” She giggled and Scott winked. “Thank you, sweetheart. I’ll wait for her to arrive.”
Scott planted himself in the waiting area, scrolling Instagram idly. He had been utilizing Tipton's services for massages and the hot tub but there just was no beating a nice hair appointment with his girl. Granted, he was also homeless and without one of his jobs at the moment so maybe he just needed an excuse to socialize with people more right now but.. Gea would know how to cheer him up.

NAME: Lord Scott Richards
HOMETOWN: The Kingdom of Valebridge
OCCUPATION: Lord of Hawkshire
LOYALIST/REBEL/OTHER: Visiting Rebel
BIOGRAPHY:
Lord Scott Richards was always known as the wayward son. His older sisters the glittering treasures that their station preferred while the rambunctious youngest was flitting to and fro. He enjoyed his allowed freedoms too much and enjoyed pushing the boundaries of his noble expectations even more. He wasn’t much known for his professional persona, he left leaving good impressions to his sisters. Annette & Danielle had done well, both married to partners worth their salt, and that left just him and his sister Collette.
Recently, Scott got himself into some trouble. He’s been turned into a werewolf! Convincing the Court doctors that he has a different, more mysterious but definitely not magical illness was difficult, but not impossible. Has that stopped his wandering ways? Certainly not.
His father is begging him to slow down, to take on the responsibilities expected of him, but Scott isn’t looking to slow down, though. On the contrary, Scott is looking to make a stand against the duties he is being brought to Rosas to do. Collette is to be married and he is to accompany her to find suitable pairing, yes, but Scott is far more interested in what this King Magnifico is up to.
He’s heard rumblings of a rebellion hidden in the forest where there is an infamous werewolf pack taking part. Scott has signed himself up as a spy of sorts, a listening ear to feed information to whoever he can. And perhaps he’ll learn a thing or two about his condition in the process.
Sure, he has to help cover for his sister’s own secret liaisons here in this foreign land but, so long as she covers for him in turn, he won’t bat an eye at her behavior.

"What task would you rather not do? I'll start there." Scott didn't mind helping where he could if the other end of the task was a beautiful woman (or handsome man, he was not picky). He sat down at the counter, curious where he could help out. He wasn't the best at cleaning, there were moments that he was getting better between home and work, but he liked to think of himself as a very good listener. It wasn't quite the time for that joke yet, though, so he kept that in his back pocket.
"Yeah, we had what felt like an entire primary school at work today," he commiserated with Cass, chuckling. "Hopefully it's nothing a nice cup of tea—or wine since you're gonna be off the clock—can't fix!" He grinned widely. "I'm Scott, it's a pleasure."

"You know me, Collie, I always go for an exotic flare. The world just has so much more flavor that way." He hated the straight and narrow, hated feeling like he was trapped in a box. Running away to far-flung places made him feel alive. He knew so many people dreamed of living in New York City, of this world being the be all, end all. Scott, however, still felt that the island was just too small.
Scott huffed as they stepped into his room, rolling his eyes at his sister's helpful advice for how to avoid the family disappointment that he was already accruing. "I think that waiting would have ruined the mood a bit, don't you? I mean, part of the fun is the spontaneity. It's such a bummer to be like 'Let me call my dad quick before we hook up!"
He walked over to his closet, stripping off the disheveled clothes and perusing the clothing that he had left behind. Much more appropriate for this dinner but much less what he actually desired to wear in this moment. "God I need that champagne! I'm so tired that I'm getting decision fatigue!"

Scott was on his way to make sure that his documents were up-to-date for his stay in Swynlake (he was coming up on his one year here and that was a truly terrifying thought). He wasn't even really thinking about his surroundings, instead distracted by texting his groupchat he had forced Jasper and Lucky into about how he was going to splurge on some Tiana's for his efforts today. That turned out to be a rather poor decision because he felt a wet splash against his shoes and jeans that he wasn't anticipating.
"Hey, I'm walkin' he—" Scott's horribly thick New Yorker accent both slipped out and was cut off when he realized that he was facing Lou as the culprit. Well.. This was potentially awkward. "Guess I should've been watching where I was going," he pivoted with a wince. "Uh.. How's it going?"

Scott winked and gave a halfhearted salute toward the rest of his family as he was whisked away by his dear sister. Truthfully he was happy for the immediate sidebar, especially with Collette. He wasn't surprised when she called him out right away but hummed conspiratorially instead of answering as he began to clean himself up.
"I may have taken a bit too long once we landed that had nothing to do with baggage claim." He grinned like the cat that had caught the canary. "His name's Kito, he's from Zanzibar, and he offered for me to bunk up with him next time I'm in the country." Not that there had been much more conversation than that. Most of the other words exchanged were not to be uttered in his family home.
"Can't say I was too eager to say goodbye and join this snorefest." He knew he could have fun back in the city and it was good to see his family but he had just grown to love the rest of the world outside of New York. Sure, it might not have been a common sentiment (Greatest City In The World and all that) but he had his own opinions. "I mean, would you be?"

Scott nodded at the offer and reached out to pick up her sign for her. "That would be lovely. I can help you clean up." He didn't mind the slight chill in the air but he still hurried indoors for entirely different reasons. He was happy to spend a quiet moment with a pretty shopkeeper after all.
"Busy day?" He asked conversationally, setting the sign next to the doorway and looking around. "I honestly never know if I prefer being busy or being slow." He thought busy days were often stressful but then the slow days dragged on and on. "Though there are definitely times and places for both paces, right?"
